SolDios
Hey, My mdex can read some aspects of some songs, for instance, on some songs (this is the only issue) If I re encode the 320kbs to 320kbs that I know will play, how much quality will it loose?ive heard every time it's re encoded, it looses quality? but how much? imadje
^Quantifying how much "quality" is lost is quite a difficult thing to do.Why are you wanting to encode 320 to 320 tho? i'm confused. WHat "aspects" are causing you an issue?
SolDios
The fact that I can't search into a song or switch it to "Time Remaining"
CBG
that could be because you aren loading it onto the unit correctly. ensure you are using the correct syncing technique

imadje
i'm wondering if this has something to with the ID3 tag settings on individual files? If it's file info that may be the issue, dont know how to solve it sorry... but worth asking around maybe? Mitch
are you saying your encoding from: mp3 320 => mp3 320ORother format 320 => mp3 320?Either way encoding lossy => lossy sounds crap. Don't do it.You could try stripping the ID3 tags and re filling them out. There is an ID3 tag stripper on the mac app store, and you can download musicbrainz picard to re-tag the songs. Not sure if this will help you though. Also another thing to try is reformatting the usb drives, and make sure they are fat32. And if this doesn't help, blame it on the mdex
