Bump.....

So the last few weeks i have been trying to get my logo sorted for the BYP, this is what ive come up with so far, im pretty happy with it at the moment but was hoping for some input from y'all

Dont hold back, i want every1's complete an honest opinions please, any ideas that i can make it better or should i just leave it as is

also so y'all know the graff text for my name is only a temp, im still waiting on a friend to get me my actual logo

My opinion, maybe try some contrasting colors for the graph so it stands out more (orange perhaps?) The face looks a bit like its floating there. The bottom right side of it looks nice but the fading seems out of place compared to everything else witch is sharp and pointy.What I would do is use the cracks background and make it look like the wall is peeling at the cracks revealing your face. Also a thing hard grey outline on the text to make it more readable.

Just my 2 cents, besides that looking good.

Cool thanks lurk6r, yeah my face is suppose to look like that with the fading, if it was more in focus i thought it would be too distracting from the information, and yeah the text does need to be a bit lighter so it's more readable, and contrast always works

if your not sure about red i can change it to any other colour.

i just did red cause in my head.. defcon, code red, alarms n shit.

detail wise

- changed the background with the 'curves' option. make it darker.

- used diff fonts than.

- made a selection around the graff 'DEFKON' and made a new layer so it was easier to move around & change.

- Add drop shadow option on ALL THINGS!

Hmmm I think i might go with your idea ysm, and yeah the red does make sense for warning, lol don't know why I didn't think of that before, I tried the drop shadow before but it didn't work on the original, I really love my original but yeah both you guys have said that it needs to be darker, I'll have to work on it tomorrow, I need to get this finished by Tuesday

ysm, how did you get the graff so red, step by step, or record an action

i used Hue/Saturation.

in Image > Adjust > Hue/Saturation

i think off the top of my head.

think i also used the 'curves' option to make it a little more darker.

Mk I'll have to try that tomorrow, I've got a pretty good idea of what to do now, capfive and Mitch were helping me throw ideas back and forth in chat today, should look pretty sweet

maybe this will help. its a .png of the Defkon graff. so now its real easy to change colour, re-size, change BG etc.

its a little tacky around the edges but against a darker background its good. or you can clean it up.

Mk so ive done a couple of different edits, capfive thought that the 2nd photo works better for the logo, wanted to know what every1 else thinks

yeah im thinkin i might go with that 1 too, thats the best i could do with the red text, have no idea how you got it so dark, yours is almost a blood red

the second one makes you look young and chavy
