Xponent is plastic crap. One of my friends had one and it warped in the heat. Twitch is for doing all the loop and sampling things - doesn't have jog wheels. Ergo would be a decent option. I think Grem may have some more input for this one???
Hahaha, true. Maybe look at the Denon controllers too. One of our users (the infamous Sol Dios) seems to think very highly of them. Worth taking a look at anyway.
I have the T1 and haven't had any issues with it. It's well built, has solid faders and a great layout. No issues at all with Traktor and replicates the general layout of CDJ's and a mixer perfectly.
Is pioneer the standard type of mixer in clubs here? In Melbourne, from my understanding alot of places have Pioneer DJM 800's, with a few venues sporting Allen and Heath.
You need terms and conditions straight up. Get a non refundable deposit, set a price, and stick with it. From the sounds of it, your friends are tyre kickers anyway.
I don't have an objective as such. For me, getting on the decks and playing tunes is a release and a great way to express myself musically seeing as I can't play an instrument.
I'd love for you to tell one of the founders of the Detroit Techno scene, and a major influence to EDM in general that he isn't a DJ. Nice logic you fucking gronk.
