Hey guys, I was recently contacted by a wedding planner who wanted to give me some work all was fine until she started talking about flying me interstate to do weddings It sounds extremely suss, and impracticable for that matter. I told her I wasn't prepared to do that, and my rates where $50 an hour with a $50 set-up fee and a $50 deposit (For weddings) She's going to get me to play at a 21's in march to see what im like, but it sounds extremely suss. 12. Country-ish pub ehy? I've done a few of those, Keep a big log of classic rock, as well as 80's and 90's hits, modern rock is ok too. Keep the top 40 on hand for requests. E.G. Powder finger Silver Chair Queen AC/DC Grinspoon Red hot chilli peppers The living end Aerosmith Il get you a list of some of my playlists.
  13. I think you would have to run an RCA output from your controller, into the unit's input, and hook your speakers up to it's output.
  14. But im not wearing pants... Welcome man! great community here!
  15. Should have put this in Techno and Hardcore Sorry, my bad.
  16. Hey guys, just wondering what you think of one of my other friends? I personally really like his stuff, he mixes happy hardcore. Your opinion?
  17. Pioneer website, it's free.
  18. If you go to a club they will have there own gear, all you need is something to play with at home, or mobile with. You can easily just use 350's for home and house party's, and just use the side of the jog wheel's at clubs, it will take you 30 seconds to adjust.
  19. Dude, go with the 350's you wont regret it Scratching on cdj's is a gimmick IMO anyway, 350's is the perfect package for someone starting, I mean you don't even need to buy scratch sound card to work it with traktor. Im using 800's with a djm 400, And honestly I think I should have gotten the 350 package. Do it man, it's a great choice! you won't regret it.
  20. That's actually a pretty good idea
  21. Finished moving dividers, it's now in and ready
  22. SolDios

    That Song

THIS is what got me into music when I was little, haven't backed down since :3
  23. Your not really going to find many gig's here, it's pretty much birds to the worm when ever one pop's up. Like all of us have said, be professional, list past experience, what style you mix? are you a mobile or club DJ? What area do you live? Your biggest way to get gigs is going to be word of mouth and Facebook Word of mouth: # Sell yourself, put up flyers, suggest yourself to people having party's, talk to people when you do have a gig, hand out business cards as everyone leaves. Facebook: # You know those public Facebook event's, post on them! people will see them and keep you in mind, I've scored over 10 gigs by doing this. (Even if they already have a DJ) E.G. This is mine from a few weeks ago:
  24. Holllllyyy cr.... You have the best of all 3 worlds O_O
  25. Simple really, there's this app i bought on the app store called "Djay" and it's really cool. Alot off great effects and it can literally replace $5182 worth off equipment. If you have an iPad (which I do. Only it's my mom's) you're probably making better use off it. bigger screen and whatnot. The only downside to this app is that you can't really precue with your headphones. you have to have 500 different cables and it's a pain in the ass and i hate it. but i managed to master beatmatching without headphones so yeah. here's a sample off my mixing skills with only an ipod touch. the other videos on this chanel are my friend's and they're really shit so don't bother listening to them. really cool app. probably better than the DJ2Go by Numark question: is this guy wearing a condom? Welcome If I was you, id have a look at the mixtrack pro if your going to go digital, quite a nice little solid unit
