When I get 900's, im so going to try making the auto loops hot cue's with traktor Perhaps make a shift key (caps lock style) to be able to use them though. Then I can easily use the loops and cues.

I don't think so, I think that's exclusive to the 2000's and 1000's (don't quote me on that one) do 900's support midi? if so you could hook it up to traktor and map the hot loop button to cue points so when you push a button without a cue point assigned to it, it creates one at that moment. Then just make it so when you hold the beat select and push a loop button, it deletes the cue assigned to it. That seems like quite a good idea actually, not 100% sure it will work though. Five cue points seems pretty good though

Im going to be getting an hp i7 3ghz quad 4gb ram for tafe so that should be enough will do a duel boot system so when you start up you choose between two windows 7's, one will be for dj'ing with all un-nessasary processes stopped other will be for everything else will get a separate mac eventually

My mistake, I still don't see why there making you. Id just stick to your normal stuff if I was you, stay with what you know rather than risking potentially destroying your mix. Especially if you haven't used it before.

You could easily get another 900 for $1000 on gumtree I think its worth the extra $140 for the record box support, better waveform display and slip mode

So they're forcing you to use vinyl, seems wrong traktor is pretty straight forward to use though, e.g. drag and drop songs and all of that fuss.

When ever you get a request I use this guide: 1. Have I already played it 2. Is it the appropriate genre for the night 3. will 90% of the audience like it? If you don't want to play it, just say "I will play it when it's suitable"

I wouldn't play it even if they requested it, your target audience is the kids, and they are not going to want to dance to it.

I think you got some good mixes there, but they are going to want the stock standard versions too. Also I wouldn't recommend playing that last set of songs you screen shotted with traktor.
