Bought NI maschine MK2 over the weekend. haven't had much of a chance to give it a burn yet but will be on to it this week.

very handy bit of gear for doing anything live. Only downfall i've had with mine was the pads double triggering sometimes which isn't good in a live situation which is why i've got the maschine as well now. but i'm hoping to have them both going eventually.

i personally think the whole mouse head thing is sooooo lame. i just don't buy into the whole gimmick thing at all. the only people that have done it right is daftpunk and some bands eg. gwar. i think the key is with the whole gimmick thing is that your creating a character and it can't just be that you have to be that character all the time and never let up. i think dj's from mars almost did this well apart from they are just boxes on their heads and thats kinda lame.
