  1. i havent used it heaps maybe about 5-6 hrs total and i have not had any issues im on pc - intel core 2 duo 2.83ghz. xp sp3 i dont think my pc hits over 50% cpu usage when running traktor, msn etc while djing + live streaming + playing games at the same time haha. ill take a screen shot soon and show you. i use time code CD's and they run a treat, there is a update in the service center for time coded cd's which you just dl and burn to cd's and it works. i still didnt have a problem with the originals but i dl'd the newer version and way. beat grind tracks. what do you mean?
  2. i can vouch for Traktor scratch pro + audio 8 =] works a dream and pretty much to us humans its pretty much happens simultaneously

    Linux?

linux is better if your into coding and coding for multi paltform support. if your going to use it for everday use 4get about it, 4 dj'in 4get about it. if your running server side apps like a server/webserver/file etc. then feel free to go and use it. best linux distribution i would recommend is ubuntu. have a crack if your up for it. goodluck
  5. haha i was underpriced in my postage i think.. or they pulled a dodge on the postage. to make ti cheaper for them they said my product was worth 135$ when really it was 500$, they prob had to pay more for insurance or something because it was worth more. meh i still got it =] all good and loving every bit of my audio 8

  12. but i want to use the platters cdj :] haha i dont want to be touching the laptop apart from loading music into the decks. ill try playing around with it see what i could do =] am i able to map without a usb port into my computer? with the 2 cd decks into mixer mixer into audio 8 then into computer.. no need for a direct connection from cd decks into computer..
  13. ahh.. thats what i want how do i get to do that.. with a normal cd player? have a tutorial of some sort like i dont want to map everything just that to change while in loop.
  14. Thanks everyone for your input =D keep them coming. ill give them a listen asap. and to CBG haha i love it haha sounds awesome!
  15. i mean cut the loop as in.. you press loop in then loop out over a 4 beat. dont know techincally but lets say thats 1/1 then when you move platter backwards it instead of me pressing loopin again and it cutting it to 1/2 me moving the platter does it. some the more i move the platter it would go 1/4, 1/8, 1/32. i think i saw it on some video not sure if it was traktor but... it just gives a bit more freedom to "cut" the loop in half and half again but also to increase the loop size again. if that makes any sense. if not post up and ill try to clarify some more Thank you for your help.
  16. Welcome from sydney too
  17. awesome that be good thanks spitfire. yeah ill prob go through them sound tracks
  18. about traktor. does any one know via timecoded cd's when you loop and you turn the platter backwards does it cut the loop? with any other cdj' or cd player..? in relative mode.. i tried with mine and it doestn seem to work. could just be me or maybe traktor itsself. thankyou.
