thats what im saying though the 1200s dont have 4.5 torque and ppl have no probs scratching on those. so i dont think thats a requirement more a nice to have. jonny that tt you found has no pitch control. which is no biggie for scratching but in case you wanted it. yeah the american audio or citronic super OEMs are quite cheap. prob is always seems to be sold as pairs. you could also go the lower torque direct drive stantons. whats yer budget? im usually lurking ebay

do you mean torque doesnt matter or direct drive doesnt matter . anywho the platter matters because it picks up the vinyl when you wnt it to play (what i meant by let go) i.e you are not always pushing it back and forth

direct drive is probably the bare minimum. of course torque is important as it means the let go sounds csmooth but considering the 1200s are lightweight on the torque in comparison and its never bothered anyone i dont think its that big an issue.

parity. i think it means at equal or comparable levels

i cant remember how old you are gandy but i do remember there werent many thirty yr olds. anywho considering dubstep began in late nineties and really rolling by 2001-2 i doubt you saw its infancy. your prob talking bout its mainstream infancy

it is funny but its true. okay maybe theyve had it for two years. but it was one of my hold outs from getting anynother version of the iphone. every phone i ever had since the 3g network expanded had that ability. it seemed so stupid apple would release a phone that was meant to "change things" and you couldnt mms, you couldnt tether, you couldnt use flash, you couldnt video call, you couldnt access its disk for saving. it was like okay that does change things but not really for the better ....

oh and also copped the Exit Through The Gift Shop dvd at the shops today. i watched this at the sydney film festival earlier in the year. its a film about(ish) new street art (as oppossed to old school grafitti). the less you know about the film the more enjoyable it is. i got the special edition version that comes w/ 2D glasses

my latest amazon purchase just came thru. only cracked one cd so far John Legend & The Roots - Wake Up . man awesome. anyone into old school soul tracks cop it. basically its roots backing up john legend, so its got that ?uestlove drum sound, singing some old soul classics. and the occassional re-interprtation with rapper verses. anywho, loving it.
