oh okay fair enuff. i guess i meant more feature wise. until qbert pointed out the differences in the slow scratch i couldnt see any difference bw the two. so when i was looking i was happy to get either or with price being the only decider.
-
craze (the most winningest dmc champion), klever (multi dmc champion), shiftee (dmc champion), grand master flash (the old school man), qbert (the alien) to name a few all use traktor scratch pro. the way i see it, early adopters of dvs went serato because it was the best at its time. but that stronghold is shifting becuase the best in the game have all gone traktor. but i take it back serato does have reliability over traktor. but that is irrelevant of whether you use cdj's or turntables.
-
serato has no advantage whatsoever for people who use turntables. and if you mean turntablists i.e. use the turntables as an instrument, then the only difference is traktor handles slow scrathes better than serato. else no difference.

Someone find me some cheap freakin turntables

chev these are $400 right now. torque is only 2.7Kg but should be plenty http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Vestax-PDX2000-T ... 255e799c4f dont know much about them. heres a review page. wazza youve had a few vestax's? comments http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews3923.html -
ha ha i hust saw the ebay listing from dmcrecords. saying $499 for TSP comes in November. Translate: we have just bought TSP online for $350ish delivered and we are selling to you for $499 plus $10 delivery ahhh nice lil' profit if you can get away with it!
-
but as with all the above. i think its which one suits you better. example i just want to play all my mp3s using my turntable. then no difference. i want to be able to play 4 decks at once. then traktor. etc. etc. etc.
-
havent we had this like a million times? like tt's or everything else. mac or pc xbox or ps3 coke or pepsi dogs or cats toe-mah-toe or toe-may-toe its gonna be a massive circle!!!
-
someone returned their audio 8 internationally recently, seemed pretty easy. it was in another post.
-
oh and note the place has been gone for about 6 or 7 years now
-
rnb/ hip hop on thurs. some sort of dance on fri. prob somewhere between house and commercial then i thought sat was pretty hardcore dance, be it trance or techno? i was more a thursday person. they had a good balance and would actually play non-club banging hip hop which use to throw some people trying to dance out. they had moto who is the best in sydney hands down for over a decade now.

the gold techs are from the dmc prize right. he must have a stack of them being the most winningest dmc
-
cheap to meet year revenue targets. they seem to have a sale around the same time ending 31 December. they must have year end at that time and have revenue targets.
-
yes exactly yhe same. and according to the experts (qbert) traktor handles slow scratches much better!. but in reality unless you are qbert, it is exactly the same. one of the bug bears people say of traktor is its too complicated compared to serato. but if like me, all you do is load song and then thats it, everything is played just like playng vinyl. then it is exactly like serato.
-
it all depends on what you want it for. if like me all you need is something to be a vehicle for your tunes, then yes get it. its simple as fug to use in absolute mode, and has the better sound card.
-
ahhh thats why i thought TSP had dropped to $700 because Store DJ has it retailing at $700, less if you a memner. so i flip back again, yeah wait for the aussie retailers to follow suit. they did last year with the upgrade offers.
-
been posted dude. and yeah i thought that must suck. im spewing and i bought mine a year ago ha ha ha
-
oh yeah gas saturday nights had cdj's. i was meaning fat @ gas on thursdays. so i guess they just swap the techies for cdj's depending on the promoters. i was a regular at fat @ gas, then i met some grrls who promoted/ ran door for the dance nights on saturdays so was given heaps of ticks. i loved gas, thought it was an awesome venue. it disappeared because at the snoop after party the place got shot up. well the outside glass. everyone thought it was snoop related. but apparentally it was a warning by one bikie group to the owners (who were a rival biker group). and then the place just fizzled away.
-
oh yeah i guess so. i dont know why but i thought TSP retail had dropped to $700 but its still $850. so yeah for sure even w/ shipping it prob will be cheaper direct!
-
maybe not quite $355 but prob close. i think it was last year traktor went half price for every upgrade so dj warehouse and store dj went half THEIR price for an upgrade. so i'd expect them to halve whatever their prices are now. yeah i got TSP for $690 on sale, so anything less than $400 is gonna be a bargain

yeah saw that!! massive bargain. id hold off for a day or two before ordering online. last time they had tbis promotion aussie retailers followed suit. and if from the splash page about the sale you hit find dealers the aussie dealers are listed. but yeah massive sale!!!

love the drummings. you really feel it building, then breaking then back again. that growl that begins at 1.00 sounds a little too i dont know not quite right. maybe make them alittle more dirtier (i ont know how you do that, but you know what i mean when a sound is dirty right?) your use of vocal samples continues to be good.

Drug Abuse - BetaTrax (knocked up noise remix - preview)

yay proper ending. yeah man as i said above was lovin it. hypnotic bas, great use of vocal. computer speakers didnt do the bass justice, what i need is a full 320 to play on my stereo! yeh yeh yeh -
okay. im assuming a lot of this is pretty commercial (well only judging from the cee-loo & wombats track), either way i quite enjoyed it. got me bopping with that disco track at the start. (should tracklist it man), and i like the killaqueens. transition into cee-loo was good except the outgoing track dissappeared to quickly, it was fitting in together perfectly than just disappeared. if your fear was the next vocal starting, i dont know maybe echo or filter pass out or something (ha ha not that i can do fancy stuff but those are the type of smoothing out transaction tricks ive seen). that cee-loo mixx is aiight too. transition out of that into the wombats (?) was seamless. transition out of wombats sounded intitially off but you recover. they still sound a little clashy but ends off nice. cant pick that next song but its an old one eh? i didnt particularly digg that song. and the song sounds heaps softer or of a lower quality. even the waveform looks smaller. and i notice all the songs after this get even softer. im assuming you werent going for one long fade ha ha. transition into the next song was perfect, couldnt even pick it up till the lyrics of the next one started. and then rock the kazbah is way soft! transition into that was good though. what have you done i couldnt pick it?? (love rock the kazbah. you heard the soma rosa with digital underground interpretation, its good.) thn transition into next song was perfect, but not too harp but that song seems to get even softer. not really feeling this song either, but all just preference. either way as i said played the mix while doing stuff yesterday and really got into it, and on second listen still think its some nice mixing and some nice song selection that has a nice party feel. just watch your volumes.
