but it becomes like a little game. ive seen them a pair go for $800 with crappy mixer. they were about 12 years old with one dust cover cracked. and there have been a few singles that will go for $500.

doubt it. unless they are planning on launching a new version soon, but seeing as SL3 is still sitting there not any time soon i reckon. like everyone said above. traktor is likely wearing a hit on the software portion of the sale because they have already recouped the dev of TSP, so instead do this to increase customer base. then when the new software comes out, even if only 50% of the customer base buy the upgrade, they will make substantial profits because their customer base is bigger.

ha ha so you went the technics way already. well we all want a set of technics. watch ebay, but it can be frustrating. i watched for 6 months and it drove me crazy. asked every single one i bid on when they were made, and you cant really find anything newer than say 8 years. still i bid for heaps of em. i still watch em but having sunk 650 a pop for st-150's i cant justify em. but i still dream of finding a not so old pair that go for cheap, then ill sell my stantons to cover some of it. if you can find MK6's that would be the ultimate (not including the limited edition ones that came out from time to time)

not enuf info man with the biggest thang, what is your budget. also do you want new or old. as a basic you want direct drive. people also say turntablists prefer more torque, but considering the 1200's have less torque than most of the turntables, and they were fine for the DMC championships so i think they must have plenty enuff torque. now 1200's as per jonny said are the industry standard which means they are what are used by clubs and by anyone who can afford them the basic mark II has less features than the other tt's out there, but then you need to ask yerself whether you need those additional features. so aside from the 1200's probably the next in line are the super OEM series. i.e. stanton ST/STR150's; Vestax PDX 3000; American Audio HTD; Citronic (?) something. these all are essentially the same machine with some design features that seperate them. in essence they ahve more torque and higher pitch range than the 1200's. but they are not built as robust and will not likely last as long or retain the sale value of the 1200's.

in one pic he has a DJM 600, a CDJ 1000, and a 1210. then in the last pic he has 2 x CDJ 400 w/ a DJM 800. i smell fish.

while i would have loved to have a pair of technics for nostalgia sake its hardly the end of the road for turntables. and again no disrespect, as i said i would have loved (and will probably still chase a pair down)to have one.i watched ebay everyday for six months bidding on at least 15 or more decks. but really for a cost of a technics deck brand new. then buy shells and stylii because they arent loaded. which everyone says last forever but you need to service at least once in 10years. you could have bought 3 stanton 150's. now i aint saying the stantons are better than the 1200's. i am saying, they are the same except the technics are so robust they will last forever. so if stantons only have a 3-5 year life span, you pretty much got yerself covered for the technics that would have went you 15-20years. again for all the flamers who will say but technics are the best yadda yadda. read the post again fuggen. anywho, lets have a moment of wigga wigga for the legends that are th 1's & 2's.

I'll give that go... I've only ever used booth out o my mixer because think thats all that is available yeah booth is the one. depends on the mixer i uess. there is usually booth or record plus how several master outs

have one of the outs (most likely Record) of your mixer plugged into the ins on the audio 8. i use the ins for D. then from within the software hit record.EDIT: oh yeah plus you have to setup that the input is for record in the preferences. the problem with audio 4, is when using timecode, the multi core cables take up the ins and outs of A & B.

but you do lose somethings lime you cant record your set using the audio 4. so youd need to have another sound card. theres a few other things taken out too not just the four decks

he bought it 2 years ago! yeah i always ask if they first owner and what the serial numbers are to find out how old they are. i have never seen anything on ebay younger than 8 years, and ive asked a million times. either way even at 10 years old thats a good price if they are good quality.
