[FS] [SYD] 2 X Denon DNS3700 AND DNX1600 **BARGAIN**
Slippy replied to lloydc's topic in Buy & Sell - Gear
hey lloydc, are u looking at upgrading to 2000s ? i thin i read it in another thread thats all -
i want rekordbox... but not sure which cdj to get
Slippy replied to lloydc's topic in Turntables & Stylus
abit Off Topic here but i also do this simply because i started to pre set them in rekordbox and export, which is awesome feature but i found that when i call them up on my decks, the first time i hit the button at that exact time when i want to jump to the cuepoint, there is a terrible delay in the deck loading that point, only once u have loaded it once do you get the instant drop, does anyone else find this annoying or have figured a way around it ? (CDJ2000) -
mmmm lots of good points really gets me thinking, i setup my gear last night and loving it but the thing is i do need a laptop, and it wont hurt to chuck them on ebay or gumtree with a high reserve as mentioned above, and if i do get what im after, can drop say ~600 on a lappy and 800 or so on a good controller, what do you guys reckon is most similar controller in terms of layout/functions to a cdj2000 or maybe a controller with even more functions? cheers! edit: my current lappy resets randomly, completely unusuable for any kind of mixing as happens way too often plus its veryyy outdated now and battery is usueless needs to be on charger contsantly

ok cool awesome thanks for all genuine replies !! mitch im in the same boat haha ive been here for 2 weeks now but had to get rid of awesome desk that used to have gear on as theres no room, so i need to buy a smaller desk before i can set them up... its terrible i miss it so much... its funny i used to enjoy going home and listening to music, but now that does not cut it, have to be mixing it to get my fix haha i think i will get them setup with a new table, save hard till july and hopefully dont have to look at downgrading! thanks again guys much apprecited. peace

hi all, i currently have 2 cdj2000 and djm800, upgraded from 400's some time ago i love this setup, but am now desperately trying to save all i can to buy my first home by the end of this year, its a serious goal of mine, as part of this goal, i have moved from a rental property that was costing me 720 a week, to a much smaller one in worse area costing 410 a week. for both this reason (space and money) i am toying with the idea of selling my current gear (hoping to fetch 3600+ is that realistic?) and investing approx 1500 in a digital setup, something around 500-1000 on a good laptop, and 500-1000 on a controller, giving me about 2000 to add to my savings and hopefully still have all the features and build quality i love with this setup i was after advice if anyone has done this switch and if they regretted it? also which controller i could buy that would feel most similar and offer as much or more features than the 2000/rekordbox setup? was thinging either trakor s4, or ddjs1 (would go second hand but brand new for laptop) or something just from doing a bit of browsing. thanks in advance for any advice much appreciated!

ok cool thanks guys yeah its just dust n stuff no sticky liquid or anything, was wondering if anyone used some kind of liquid so thanks jaz, have u guys had any experience with removing small scratches cos most standard methods seem they will be abit risky on a cdj
-
hi all i was wondering what people use to clean off there gear just a dry cloth or is there other options? also my decks have some very light scratches around the edjes of the platter, is there anyway to remove these ? thanks in advnace

hey mate haha yeah thanks for noticing that track has the tempo shift in that version, hello vs paper planes so i just stood back and enjoyed it thanks for feedback man appreciate it

well im 2 days in and VERY happy with this subscription at that discount its the same as djcity and i just really prefer the layout and options such as national club chart/top download etc (with dj city you would have to go to ariacharts and then search djcity) also the featured DJs that you can see what they are playing at the moment to get ideas. there is still some awesome things missing i think they could add, like favouriting labels/producers (ala beatport) to get notified of new releases etc, but it *seems* from the labels link that in future this should be possible. anyway i would highly recommend it, and the discount coupons above definitely work, let me know what you think if you try it out !

thanks mate

hey mate i was going to just use home insurance but they reckon that its not covered for certain things (i was using spilling a beer as example) not sure he if was just trying to close me on the other option as what jaz says makes sense but basically with Youi i get my gear covered for 6000 "Away from home" covered against ANYTHING for 261 per year so i just pay that the be on safe side

mad idea street i will try that, also mattus you can download tracks that are transitions so it will say for eg : Maroon 5 - Moves like Jagger 90 -128 Transition, so if your playing some hip hop/rnb at ~90 and want to move to house/electro just drop this tune and bam ur playing maroon 5 at 128 with a very smooth transition that had hours spent on it instead of a quick speed up from yourself! i get from djcity but they are everywhere, just google "transition XX-XX" and see what tunes u have at your disposal if you need a very specific transtion to fit in with a mix your constructiing there are some really cool remixes that start at eg 128 drop to 90 then move to 128 again so you can make use of these aswell, Hello vs paper planes for example Knas - The episode (i found these tracks in hoddis playlist i think, either way its a gold thread)
