They can often end up even man (CDJ or Vinyl Decks) think about it this way, CDJ very expensive but CD's and music relatively cheap...Vinyl Decks Relatively Cheap in comparison, but a Collection of good Records Very expensive....may end up even, may not.... by the sound of it if you want to go Vinyl then do it because if u dont you will always have that doubt in your head wanting to do it and probly do it anyway LOL and if your going to spend over $1000k for CDJ decks then i would go for something better then what you linked, think Denon and Pioneer mate, i meen stanton & Behringer are great brands but your forking out a decent amount anyway so why not go to around $1500-$2000 like you said and get the top Brands and models.... And dont be afraid of used gear (as long as its good Condish), spesh for your 1st set i recently bought a used set, 2xPioneer CDJ400's, 1x Pioneer DJM400 Mixer, all in a Pioneer Case for $1700, Cant even tell they are used, and im Loving them , i shouldnt have to upgrade for well over a year so thats just food for thought dude Added a pic as well for ya
