thanks well right now i can barley spare a cent but saving will help that, i meen i dont want mk3's or anything that gonna cost me $4000 lol, and i will admit i dont no shit about mixing CD's, like besides the minor shit like crossfader n how to load the song to your deck, could probly create a loop here n there, and i dont yet know how to work out the bpm by ear, besides an obvious 128 like a majority of house beats, thats pretty easy to pick but mobileing with my midi and speakers n lappy should hopefully get me some cash towards decks and i only have a part time job thats not bringing in much cash lol

So my local City has 2 clubs (not a big city) and i know for sure 1 has there resident CDJ1000 mk1's,and although im not quite ready, 1 day i would like to end up as a Club DJ if i get sick of Mobile But im more of a fan of digital DJing, what is the general Rule with this in Clubs? i know it tends to get alot less respect then CD or Vinyl But i also want to learn to DJ using some CDJ's as ill never know when ill need that knowledge or if i would like it more then Digital But then there is the problem with Affording my own Set , i am 1 broke motherfucker at the moment and will be on tight budget until about mid next year Then how do i go about learning?

Let me start off 1st by saying i dont encourage obtaining these programs this way but people simply will and i want to see what the general opinion on it all is So there are countless DJ and Production programs out there, Serato, VDJ, Traktor, Ableton, Pro Tools, Logic, Sonar, the list goes on and generally if its a good enough and popular enough program there are countless ways to hack and get these programs for free Personally hacking, torrents, Cracks, Shared serial codes, Illegal serial codes, Obtaining the Union Program, Rewriting the software, bypassing the copywrite on an instillation Disk etc etc etc.... Do you think this is right though? in my opinion there are pro's and cons Con: Developers have spent countless hours on these programs and do deserve credit and payment Pro: For instance, Ableton Suite $1000 odd, very expensive in some people's eye's, maybe not to others, but i think about it like this,lets say 50,000 people buy it, 50,000p x $1000 = $50,000,000 Do they really need to price it that high when obtaining a figure like that? i meen i can See why CDJ's and the like are expensive, because its software and also physical product, i meen the cost of materials and production of the CDJ falls into the Price as well as profit Where as to Software once its done its done, until an update and such is needed oh you in no way have to admit to having illegal software, just vote thoughts on the subject? thanks

Haven't weighed them and can't remember if weight was in the specs, but the subs are heavier and more arquard to carry actually lol, only problem with the jaycars is having so lift it up 5-6foot on top of the sub and other jaycar lol

Nope never heard any tic threw the speakers, the strobe makes it's own ticking sound but my phone speakers could make more noise then that, may only certain strobes cause the speakers to get a tick interfearance....

was in a 5 meter wide x 10 metres long room and yeh the whole granny flat was vibrating, random drunks just kept coming up saying the bass and everything was crazy, so im guessing they went good yeh after the drink hit the laptop all i could think was FUCK! shoulda just finished 2 songs earlier lol yeh so finished at 1, packed the gear in the car, half hour drive home then unpacked it then just crashed in bed lol

actually source at my house i was running it off the same switch board but occasionally yeh it would cut out the music, so i just got all lighting running off a second powerboard and have amp laptop Midi and powered speaker running off a seperate serge proof powerboard

only have a video of the Pre set up, if i can find a video cam i might make an update for you hearts lol

ok so the gig went mostly good, couldnt really play much house as everyone just wanted pop n Rnb, im not sure quite how to mix pop as most song are just random BPM's but i did my best laptop got bumped a couple of times causing VDJ to crashed, but got it back up n going real quick, played from 7 till 1, was originally going to start at 9 but was testing the speakers n set up with 2 songs and everyone just hit the D floor so i had to keep going,very big effort for my 1st gig i think. very saw neck and back from carting all my gear and standing in the same spot lol and at the end of the night i took 1 last request for the last song so everyone was leaning over the laptop and someone spilled a drink, lucky i wiped it up as quick as possible and everything seems to be ok stressfull night for $100 but also some good fun will let this thread know when i have stolen some photo's from randoms people facebooks that were there

will do, so far it is going great, just gotta lower the trebble on the speaker as the highs are a bit noticeable at times, and the speaker stand/rod is a tiny bit wobbley but i just plug the millimeter of gap left in where the rod sits on top of the sub and its all good, actually i will put a pick up soonish seeing as the hole set is complete :D:D:D:D

Thanks guys, the D-floor and I will be in a medium sized granny flat attatched to the house, alot smaller then my house so hopefully will need less volume because of tighter acoustics so won't be pushing them tonight

not a mates, but 1 of my girlfriends school chums, her 18th oh trust me,it will be pumping, Spesh since my last speaker has arrived , quite large property out of town so they neighbors will be fair bit away and hopefully un-able to winge to the cops thanks lads
