yeh well if it comes with traktor then it should be programed and work great with it, Just remember that will Probly be a light version of Traktor not the Full version your Welcome

im more then glad i started on Midi controllers and software, although its easier, its also alot!!! cheaper (better then $1500 for CDJ's then finding you hate DJing ) and teaches you the little things like cue's and loops n fun shit, you can practice beatmatching but as many have told me you wont proply be able to practice beatmatching until you get off Midi as most programs and controllers have Auto sync and u somtimes find yourself using it but yeh thats hell cheap ($150), i meen $500 for me was a stretch at the time, but i also wanted the built in sound card and the Hercules RMX is 1 of the bigger midi's compared to the low ends, thats why i chose it, and its also compatible with VDJ, traktor and ableton, although i havent got it working with traktor yet

maybe i have just watched the wrong video(s),do they or not? oh and i meen as in MP3 stick/USB stick/ipod plug slot

i actually kinda like the colour In my opinion (and i have done some research on midi controllers) they are all built under the same basic principal, the only differences are what programs they are focused on running with, how well layed out they are, size and amount of buttons, and extra's like built in sound cards etc.... i have a Hercules RMX and its a pretty all round package, but around $500, more expensive then many, they are nothing you would want to do anything but house parties with though, but for a cheap muck around for traktor, VDJ, ableton or whatever then they are great, very compact as well, but if they are a low end brand that arent very popular and well known then good luck finding mappings for certain software

400 deffo sounds the go, they are easily the most attractive as well, not that that should affect my decision at all i basically have to have the ability to plug MP3 as well, love the idea, i mean im only doing mp3 now, would love to get a big USB stick or that rekord box thing, and then just have a folder of CD's as a backup cant afford the 900's, although second hand 1000's will start becoming common as people upgrade to the 2000's they still dont have the mp3 ability, as for the 2000's, yeh keep dreaming DJaz

so as im still shit as with Ableton ive been looking for a VST package because i dont know any names of particular good ones so if anyone is interested i have found this torrent, fair few VST's and installable pluginns, not sure if they are any good, but ive installed 2 or 3 and they show up and work in ableton so it seems legit (Link Removed) Read below

yeh and from what ive been reading the 400's are better then the 800's. obviously cause of age oh well, im either gonna save up for a set of 400's with a djm400 or save even more and go all out and get some second hand mk3's or possibly 2000's so i never have to upgrade lol

I have used DJcity (be very carefull) and store DJ after using both i will never use anyone but storeDJ , they are amazingly helpfull, and free postage on most items so they cant be beat basically but DJcity is still fucking me, still awaiting a $250 refund from them

I enjoy my asshole being tight and out of prison skank haha so im struggling to understand the numbering with the CDJ's i meen a 400 is newer then a 800 correct? what do these number meen or are they basically just pioneers random way of telling them apart...? to get my head around them what would be ideal to get without buying a set of 1000's or 2000's of corse?
