RichoKidd
I'll be honest, its not easy to break out in the club scene in Australia. Depending on where abouts you are planning on being based. In Perth the scene is saturated with DJ's but not enough clubs, you'll really have to hussle your music to get in the clubs, even playing a few gigs for free.An ABN is a big recommendation as its critical for tax and what notMore info hereYou should be okay, just immigration can be funny sometimes, I'd even look at getting a Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) ticket so you can do barwork when you're not DJingThis is all just my advice, you can tell me to get FUAWKED if you like
Mitch
There is an over saturation of DJs in Australia at the moment (everyone thinks they are a DJ). It's all based on numbers you bring and not as much on skill etc. if you don't have a big name for yourself you're going to struggle. E.g. I play nearly every weekend in Melbourne and still need full time job to survive

Also a club isn't just going to hear your mix tapes and decide "yeah this guy has skills, lets take off our regular to put him on", it's all about networking, once you're over here, you're gonna have to get in tight with the promoters that run the night that fit your style and hope that they give you a chance.
