STFU Records Remix competition

STFU Records would like to offer you a chance to remix A Dominant Species- "Musical Bliss Kiss"! If you WIN, your track will be included in the official remix package along with a Dom Almond remix, mastered professionally and dished out to DJs/Producers and music lovers around the world.

- To enter download the free parts to "Musical Bliss Kiss" from the STFU Records website.

- Any Style will be consider! Entries must be recieved by 31/05/10

- Mp3 Entries must be sent via yousendit.com to info@stfurecords.com

COMPETITION RULES

You can enter as many times as you wish.

All instructions on the Website form part of the terms and conditions, which by taking part, you will be deemed to have accepted.

Users shall have the opportunity to mix various parts of the Track online for the sole purpose of remixing the Track(s) in accordance with the terms and conditions below.

You must not:

sell, exploit, license, make available, communicate or otherwise distribute the Track or the Remix (or musical works or lyrics embodied therein);

violate any laws nor constitute a libel or slander of any person and shall not infringe upon or violate any other right of any person;

sample or replay any material into the Track or the Remix (or into any musical works or lyrics embodied therein);

(whether alone or with others) produce mix record or perform any of the musical works (or any part thereof) embodied in the Track or the Remix; and make an adaptation of the Track or the Remix (or any musical works or lyrics embodied therein).

Additional conditions:

Responsibility cannot be accepted for entries which are lost, damaged, delayed, corrupted or mis-transmitted. Proof of sending/transmission will not be accepted as proof of delivery.

Incomplete and late entries will not be accepted.

All ownership of the results emanating from the competition remain or shall become the property of STFU Records Ltd or the original rightholders as the case may be. Your acceptance of these terms and conditions shall be taken to deem the transfer of rights from you to give effect to the foregoing. In the event that further documentation shall be required of you to give effect to the foregoing you will sign it upon request.

These rules are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

You agree that acceptance to the Terms and Conditions hereunder shall be deemed given automatically when entering this promotion and/or use of the Track(s) as permitted in the Website.

We reserve the right to vary, amend or withdraw this competition.

Tip for bassline: Duplicate the midi notes, have one has a sawtooth waveform, or square or whatever and EQ higher. Have the other as a Sine waveform, EQ it lower.

Not really sure why I wrote that, but there ya go... lol

nothing wrong with a bit of extra knowledge :).....

Also :D : If you want to widen your synth, load up a Filter delay on the hi freq track (providing you are layering). 1. Select, L and R not L+R. 2. Bring the Frequency up on each side so it doesn’t filter any the sound. 3. Then bring down the time manually to 1-15ms perhaps. 4. Have a different number for each side. This will widen the sound dramatically. You made need to lower the gain though cus it will really jump out of the mix otherwise.

Again, not really sure why, but im on a roll.

Yep splitting your bassline is a must use technique, gives you heaps of control and you can effect the ranges seperately. Try doing that other tip you gave on the high passed channel cool shit.

That second tip is real cool, like stereo haas zone.
