No worries fpearson, I was blown away when I walked in that place, they fit soo much gear n vinyl into such a small area, I'm taking an extra suitcase when I go bak at the end of this year, spend a whole day in there :P let me know how you go with ordering them, I'm curious myself

If your looking to get into clubs, CDJ's would be a better option

oh yeah sol not having a go at you but not sure why you keep suggesting this. lots of clubs use turnies. i went for like months where every place i hit was using turntables.

and i believe the percentage increases even more when speaking in terms of hip hop, which the OP has indicated is his poison.

yes some people play hip hop on cdj's (wu tangs dj uses em) but i have not yet seen it at a hip hop event i have attended.

I wasnt being lazy just at lunch and rushing else would have got list for you.

In terms of rekkids, which state you from.

Syd got record store, 112, i think victor lopez records has reopened somewhere all of which do hip hop. Jb in galleries vic also have plenty.

And dont forget second hand stores, vinnies, and record fairs.

Online there is juno, turntablelab, discogs. I wouldnt necessarily say cheap though.

fuaaaark sol, how many times have you said this? have you ever been to a club? nearly every club ive been to has had a set of techies there. eggs wasnt having a go because hes a chill sorta bloke :) but bro, stop saying things you dont really have a clue about, when you start clubbing then tell people djs there dont use vinyl. my local pub both dj's rock vinyl over cdjs so shutup and stop bagging out vinyl, without vinyl thered be no such thing as dj'ing.

Lopez is out in Parramatta im fairly certain.

Dude if you want to know anything about 1200's i got a pair and theyve been going hard since the day i got them, they only bad thing il say is if you have them in a coffin case with the mixer and you dont have a permanent place to put them, getitng them out is a bit of a bitch.

Thanks again eggssell! looking into the stantons now just watching reviews on everything, cheers for the pointers that will all really help. im thinking i will probably be going with turntables with the lower torque, and thats basically on the premise that they are alot cheaper and im not going to go big straight up when i have never done it before. im starting to narrow down brands and it really looking to be between stanton, citronic, and technics (if i can get my hands on some) but i need a conformation from Duz on whether citronics are really shit or not!

@Defkon - have already put 10 records in a shopping basket! they are reasonably priced and have found alot of vintage tracks already! haha that sounds awesome dude

@crundy cheers man, it seems like technics are the original turntable! now to track down a pair for under a grand!
