Mitch Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 You should Be able to get an i5 for that price, I'll hook you up with some links when I get on the computer Quote
opticon Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 I agree with Mitch_Fudd, Personally I stay away from i3 machines, kinda like the old Celeron's. Getting a i5 processor will be much better for him. i3's are really good for low power consumption etc but they are not built for speed and intensive stuff. For the extra $75http://www.umart.com.au/pro/products_li ... &sid=83077 Quote
wazza Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 I have the same ASUS i3 laptop and a HP dv6 i5 laptop.....spend a little more $$$ and get a i5 Stay away from the i3 laptop because I can only run one USB input at a time with the i3 With my HP i5 I can run all 4 USB inputs at the same time..( that's the Rane ttm 57 sl mixer and my edirol pcr 500 midi keyboard and my diccer midi controller and my 500 gig hard driver )...with my i5 I can run Serato with ableton bridge & Serato scratch live video , my i3 will not do this... SolDios Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 Stay away from the i3 laptop because I can only run one USB input at a time with the i3 Something is wrong with your lappy, the port's must not be powered properly, my laptop is an i7 and only 2 usb's are properly powered, cpu has nothing to do with it.
