  4. So I basically I contacted Store DJ, they made a mistake within the ad and chaged the ads to mention only the vinyls, and thanked me for notifying them. They had let me know that they are unable to get the CDS off any of their suppliers as they are basically non existent but mentioned that I can have a refund if I like. With the discount i recieved already I told them that I would work out a way to get the CDs. Searched everywhere and tried a few downloaded versions of the .iso file of the CD which all were corrupt. Joined a few other forums and made posts with no luck so i had to bite the bullet and buy an original from England.. Its enroute at present, cost me a total of $30 (only got one as i can duplicate one recieved) so i shoud be up and running before the weekend!!! CANT BLOODY WAIT!! MIX ALL THE THINGS, ALL THE GENGRES!!!

  11. A-Trak has responded to an article on Avicii in GQ Magazine via the medium of Twitter. His tweeting spree began with: "So there's an @Avicii article in @GQMagazine where he says his sets are completely pre-planned & reading the crowd is a thing of the past..." An inner monologue of sorts then ensued from the Canadian DJ and producer where he said: "He also complains about opening djs who play the same big songs from his set -- which are the same songs everyone else plays..." "So if I understand correctly, DJs should be robots and each pre-planned robot should know their place...?" The Fools Gold Records boss then made it clear he has nothing but respect for the Swedish super producer: "By the way I think @avicii makes great music. Sincerely. But if you play the same thing every night you're not a DJ." "Dudes live in a bubble, they think what they hear in bottle service clubs and festivals is djing. That's just entertainment." "Enjoy the entertainment, I play at those spots too. It wouldn't hurt to be a bit creative though." A-Track then tweeted "By the way while we're on the topic " and posted a video of one of his latest impressive scratch routines which you can watch below. He then signed off with: "Welcome to the EDM circus show." Avicii did respond saying the interview in GQ was taken out of context, but did not proceed to say much else. This did however spark a huge debate amongst DJs including Tommie Sunshine, Toddla T, Alex Metric, Laidback Luke, Eats Everything and many more. 15. Hey everyone, I have recently bought Torq 2.0 coupled with the AVID Conectiv and found out upon delivery that the package didnt include the CD's and only the vinyl. So my request is to see if anyone here has or know someone with them, to see if I could possibly 'purchase' them from you if you are no longer using them or maybe go about acquring a copy? I have scoured le net and found brand new ones in the UK that i can get for a grand total of $60 but im trying to exhaust all other options before going down that road. If anyone else has other ideas I am all ears, I would love to get this up and running ASAP. Cheers

  20. Hey everyone, Came across this short little gem, have a read and let us know what you think. "The evolution of DJing has been a bittersweet affair. The rise in technology has brought about a shortcut to glory, which has dramatically decreased the barriers of entry and enticed a plethora of new, 21st century wonder-children. Unfortunately, for every talented new-age DJ comes a hoard of incompetent morons who’ve got little to no understanding what the cue button does, let alone what constitutes a decent set. Jaded and dissatisfied with the progression of their trade, the veterans of the art are now overtly judgmental on the new breed of modern musician. This disconnect between old school and new has festered more resentment over time, further fueled by money-hungry promoters ignoring the talented veterans in favor of young guns who know more people and drink more booze. Everything I’ve told you so far is common knowledge in DJ circles throughout Australia, but never has this mentality been more proudly paraded. Just yesterday, I was made aware of a Facebook post by Noosa-based club ‘Rolling Rock’. The status, which is shown above in full, requests a DJ based not on talent, but by gender. They go as far as to say the DJ does not require ANY experience whatsoever. It’s another nail in the coffin of traditional DJing and a representation of the idiocy that fuels the nightclub industry. Well done Rolling Rock Noosa – you’ve proven to the world that your target demographic is more interested in a pair of tits than they are in enjoying the sound emitting from your equally tacky sound system. Asking for an inexperienced vagina to control the focal point of your nightclub is the most raw and true representation of these money-hungry club promoters, who will indeed sacrifice anything for another person through the door. But what’s worse is that these vapid idiots will pay Miss Jane Doe with a bar tab. They’ll then be conveniently unreachable if she ever decides the four Vodka Red Bulls weren’t sufficient reimbursement for her three hours spent being hit on by unemployed drunks. To round out my disapproval of the Rolling Rock nightclub, and I use the term ‘nightclub’ very loosely, I’d like to reiterate my main point: in this quite public case, Rolling Rock proved they book DJs because they’re female, not because they’re DJs. They are a perfect example of everything educated people hate about the nightclub industry and another reason why the art of DJing is less significant than ever. By operating under such loose standards, Rolling Rock also highlights the excellence of clubs that are controlled by people who actually graduated high school."
