I wouldn't want to be spending anymore than $350 max but would like to have enough inputs to eventually have a maschine, midi keyboard and mic running off it, outputting to my monitors and eventually a sub (not sure what else u would output to?) No to beats and no to Amperiors!! I bought two pair of the amperiors and both had problems with high notes. They sounded tinny and did not perform compared to my HD 25 II addidas. Beware and try before u buy!

Update: One has hit the dust, it keeps blowing fuses but for the price I paid I'm happy with what I got out of them. I could look into getting it repaired, will sus out the costs involved and make a decision.
