guess i could maybe just try and stay local, maybe some aussie artists could be open to the idea

so i am getting addicted to mashups and im wondering, if i submitted a mashup to a radio station, would i be able to get it played? i mean im not looking to get any money or fame, just would love to hear something i put together playing on le radio (public not private lol) so does anyone know if its legal? or would i need to get artists permission?
