A lot of great albums have been dropped this year, but RÜFÜS DU SOL’s Solace stands firmly above the rest. One of this year’s finest albums has garnered the group massive praise, perhaps even more than their 2016 album Bloom, though the year isn’t even over yet. With the success of Solace, BBC Radio 1 invited Rüfüs to deliver their very first Essential Mix on the program. If you’ve seen any of Rüfüs’s DJ sets, or were lucky enough to catch them as the special guest at the Do Lab at Coachella in 2016, then this should sound familiar to you. Of course, new music can be found throughout the mix, but the vibe remains. Get relaxed and strap in for two hours of chill beats as Rüfüs serenades you on their first ever Essential Mix. Listen below. This article was first published on Your EDM. Source: RÜFÜS DU SOL Drop Debut Essential Mix On BBC Radio 1 Source

The feverishly beloved sitcom Friends arrived on Netflix at the top of 2015 to great fanfare, in part due to it marking the series’ inaugural availability on a streaming service. To this day, Netflix is the sole platform in which Friends can be streamed (although it remains widely syndicated on real TV). Yet the exclusive relationship between the series and the streaming giant now seems at risk of splitting apart. Late last night and earlier this morning, an expiration date marked the show’s Netflix page suggesting that it would be leaving the platform on January 1st, 2019. The expiration date has been removed as of this afternoon, and Netflix’s chief content officer Ted Sarandos told The Hollywood Reporter that the show’s “departure is a rumor.” So at least for now, fans can rest easy. However, the future of Friends on Netflix is still uncertain. Warner Bros. parent company WarnerMedia is developing its own streaming service for launch by the end of next year. There’s a high likelihood of the show leaving Netflix for this new home much the same way Disney’s upcoming streaming service Disney+ led to the recent cancellation by Netflix of its three Marvel series Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Daredevil. @netflix this can’t be real. RL Grime put out, in our opinion, one of the finest albums of 2018 earlier this year. NOVA is a smash hit with hits upon hits upon hits, but it gets better. Twenty-one remixes of the album tracks are due out this Friday and next on the official NOVA Remixes Vol 1 and Vol 2. RL Grime teased the full list of remixers this morning: Hex Cougar, Enschway, Part Native, Away, Myrne, Tynan, Eptic, 1788-L, ODEA, K?D, Said the Sky, Cozway, Quix, Devault, Montell2099, Dabow, Alexander Lewis, BLANKE, Valentino Khan, Shadient & WAVEDASH, Vincent, and Heimanu. While the tracks being remixed weren’t technically announced, a little bit of sleuthing reveals that most artists have either already announced which one they’re taking on, or fans have caught them playing the tracks out live. Check out our list below as well as the teaser, and let us know which ones we’re missing if you have a clue! Legendary Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler has announced a new supergroup, Deadland Ritual, which features three other big-name musicians: former Guns N’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum, Billy Idol guitarist Steve Stevens, and Apocalyptica singer Franky Perez. Band members dropped the news by posting a few teasers of the new outfit’s music on their social media pages. Deadland Ritual will perform on the main stage of France’s Hellfest in June. Butler performed his last show with Black Sabbath in February of 2017, putting an end to the metal godfathers’ touring career. In an interview with Rolling Stone last year, Butler said he had “about 120 riffs written down and I’ve just got to pick a guitarist and sort through them.” Well, it looks like he found the right guitarist in Stevens, who penned such classics as “Rebel Yell” and “Eyes Without a Face” with Billy Idol. Take a listen to some clips of Deadland Ritual’s music below. Source

In October, we reported on Encore, the first new album of original material from 2-tone icons The Specials in decades. Now, the band has shared “Vote For Me”, the album’s lead single. (Read: A Running List of Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame Omissions) As its title implies, the song carries a political message, with the long-running British outfit dressing down the kinds of political candidates we’re seeing more and more these days. “Making laws that serve to protect you/and we will never forget that/you tore our families apart,” goes one of the song’s several verses. Sweeping strings and mournful horns add texture to the funky track, which you can stream below. Encore welcomes back the band’s original lead vocalist, Terry Hall, who here joins founding members Lynval Golding and Horace Panter. Their first new album together in 37 years, it arrives on February 1st, 2019 via Island Records. Source

Beyoncé and JAY-Z headlined Global Citizen: Mandela 100 over the weekend in Johannesburg, South Africa. Commemorating what would have been Nelson Mandela’s 100th birthday, the massive concert event featured a mini “On the Run II” set of hits galore, including a particularly show-stopping throw down of the couple’s Everything is Love single “APESHIT”. In addition to countless wardrobe changes (such as a pink dress in tribute to Mandela), the pair performed some of their biggest solo hits and collaborative bangers. They rolled out “Niggas in Paris”, “’03 Bonnie and Clyde”, “XO”, and “Drunk in Love”. The setlist also boasted “Formation”, “Empire State of Mind”, “Run the World”, and the aforementioned “APESHIT”, in which Queen Bey drew rave reviews for her slaying of her rap verses. Pharrell Williams, who was also on hand at the FNB stadium that evening, joined JAY for a collaborative performance of their 2000 smash “I Just Wanna Love U (Give It To Me)”. Bey and Ed Sheeran also took the stage together to do their “Perfect” duet. A 30-minute portion of the set was broadcast on TV, but now the full performance has made its way online. Check out clips, pics, and the full stream below (scroll to 7:55:00 and 9:15:10 for Bey and JAY). Prior to her performance, Beyoncé posted a letter to the late Mandela on her website. “It is an honor for me to travel to South Africa this week in celebration of you and your efforts to right so many wrongs,” the R&B super star wrote. “You were a strategic warrior, a bold activist, and charismatic and well-loved leader. Your vision for dignity, for human rights, for peace and a South Africa free of racism and apartheid, allow us all to turn dreams into reality.” She continued: “As we celebrate the Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100, honoring your centennial year, I promise you that we have made your dreams our own. Your work and your sacrifices were not in vain. I will cherish every moment shared in your presence and use the lessons learned from you as fuel to stir positive ideas and solutions.” In addition to Beyoncé and JAY-Z, Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder took the stage and paid tribute to both Mandela and Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell. Bruce Springsteen’s had to reckon with the looming specter of Donald Trump more than most artists, what with Springsteen’s music having long been favored by the kinds of blue-collar types that voted for the ghoul. That said, he’s never backed down from his own liberal beliefs, and he stands by them even today. In a recent interview with Esquire, he called Trump “deeply damaged,” “pitiful,” and “a dangerous man.” That said, The Boss doesn’t he’ll be leaving office any time soon. “I don’t see anyone out there at the moment … the man who can beat Trump, or the woman who can beat Trump,” Springsteen recently told The Times when speaking about the potential 2020 Democratic field. “You need someone who can speak some of the same language [as Trump] … and the Democrats don’t have an obvious, effective presidential candidate.” He touches on similar ideas in the Esquire interview. “I think that a lot of what’s going on has been a large group of people frightened by the changing face of the nation. There seems to be an awful lot of fear. The founding fathers were pretty good at confronting their fears and the fears of the country. And it’s the old cliché where geniuses built the system so an idiot could run it. We are completely testing that theory at this very moment,” he said. “I do believe we’ll survive Trump. But I don’t know if I see a unifying figure on the horizon. That worries me. Because the partisanship and the country being split down the middle is something that’s gravely dangerous.” As Chris Cillizza puts it over at CNN, the ideal 2020 candidate will be one who can speak to the same audience that Trump can. He mentions former vice president Joe Biden and Ohio senator Sherrod Brown as examples of those who potentially could, but Springsteen has a point about speaking “the same language” as Trump, whose aggressive rhetoric has caused a terrifying shift in the way we discuss politics in the modern age. Whether we find that candidate or not, Springsteen, who has a direct line to many of those voters, will keep doing his part. In more uplifting news, Springsteen recently confirmed plans to release new music and embark on a tour in 2019. Source

Ask anyone who knows Jauz and his now-wife Joann and they’ll tell you the two are a picture perfect couple. Now, the two of them have made it [legally] binding as they’ve tied the knot and told each other “I do.” Jauz, real name Sam Vogel, and his wife Joann Walker married yesterday in the presence of friends and family. (No fans were invited.) Joann’s ring looks brilliant, and, in true industry fashion, Jauz is sporting a darker band with a single stone. Congrats to these two! As Big Gigantic wraps up their fall tour, I got the opportunity to sit down with the men behind the funk. Big Gigantic played a killer show on Thursday night in Tallahassee. They showcased their diverse musical talent, as well as some of their new upcoming tracks. After the show, drummer Jeremy Salken and saxophonist Dominic Lalli told me about what the upcoming year has in store for the Colorado based EDM funk band: Photo: Chester Pink So, you mentioned on stage that you were releasing a song in December, can you tell me a little bit more about that? Dom: “Yes! December fifth. It’s our collab with NGHTMARE and it’s called “Like That”. We played it tonight. It’s definitely going to be a good one.” Any plans for more new music after that? Dom: “Actually, beginning of next year we will start releasing a bunch of new stuff. A bunch of singles that will eventually lead into an album.” Can you give me any preview on the vibe of the album? Jeremy: “We played some of it tonight, but it still has some room to grow.” Dom: “Yeah It’s still getting there, it’s not fully developed but that’s kind of fun. It’s still in that middle stage where there’s some room for us to do some creative stuff, so we’ll see but it is coming together nicely for sure.” So, I’d love to know background info on you guys, how did Big G come to be? Dom: “So, me and Jeremy used to be roommates, and we played a lot of music together. And then at a certain point after we weren’t living together I was kind of like ‘Oh I want to start this thing’ and I got Jeremy involved and we just started working on it and it turned into this, which is pretty crazy.” Were you guys random roommates or did you know each other before? Jeremy: “We just both played in bands around Boulder and there were no computers or anything like that. And then I had a room open in the house I was living in and Dom moved in and then we started kind of playing in random projects together around town. Like funk shows you know, at every bar in boulder like little bars, where there would be 15 people there and it would be our friends. We’d be telling our friends ‘Come! You have to come out!’”. Dom: “We were really hustlin’, music hustlers.” And it just kind of evolved from there? Jeremy: “Yeah Dom got a computer at one point while we were living together and started making beats just in the bedroom. And then he got better it was like ‘oh let’s jam over this’. And then he was like ‘this is a thing, this is it, this is what we need to be doing. we’re going to make it a thing’”. From my perspective you guys blew up pretty fast, would you agree with that? Dom: “We’ve been on a slow grind, just slowly getting a little bit better and a little bit bigger but that’s good you know I like that better than just having one hit blow up, we’ve built our fan base over the years for sure.” And would you say you have a message as a group for that fan base? Dom: “I think the brighter future thing is kind of our m.o., I think it always has been and we have finally put it all together with the last album.” Jeremy: “Peace and Love” Dom: “But for real though, we need more of that shit.” Jeremy: “A lot a lot more.” So, have you always done electronic music or have you ever explored different genres? Jeremy: “Yeah before electronic we played jazz and funk and rock and all of that.” Dom: “We actually used to play weddings.” Did you guys play weddings together? Jeremy: “Yeah, no computer but like a full-on wedding band with a singer and horn section and everything.” How did you come up with the name “Big Gigantic”? Dom: “It literally just popped in my head one day, and I was like ‘I’m going to save that for something’ and then when I eventually got everything going and we used it.” Jeremy: “Yeah it’s kind of crazy, we worked very hard. And this is our tenth year.” What year did you put out your first song? Dom: “Late 2009, ‘Fired up’ but it was like all instrumental hip hop electronic music.” Photo: Chester PinkStream Big Gigantic’s album Brighter Future on Apple Music and Spotify. And don’t forget to check out their new single “Like That” on December 5th. The post Backstage with Big Gigantic: what’s next for the electronic jazz duo appeared first on Verge Campus. Source

After 20 years of footage, Coldplay finally released a one time only showing of their journey as one of the world’s most famous bands. Yesterday at 7 pm (EST), there was a worldwide screening of Coldplay’s first movie. This movie contained twenty years of footage, filmed by director Matt Whitecross, who has been a lifelong friend of the band. This film is an intimate backstage look as of how this band came to be and an in-depth portrait of the bandmates relationship between each other. If you did not get to see it the film in the movie theater, they are releasing the film on Amazon Prime Video on November 16, so you are just in luck. Yet, the experience of watching this in a theater was a once in a lifetime opportunity. If you did get to watch it like me, you probably felt like you were apart of this iconic’s band journey and were able to attend one of their many incredible concerts. A 20 Year Friendship Coldplay bandmates Chris Martin and Johnny Buckland went to the same college in London and started a band called Pectoralz in 1996. Then they were joined by Guy Berryman and changed their name to Starfish. Finally, when their last band member Will Champion joined, Chris’ childhood friend Phil Harvey completed the band’s lineup as creative director and manager. The band renamed themselves on 1998 as Coldplay, and that is when their true journey began. The song that truly launched them to stardom was “Yellow” from their album Parachutes. After that, they never stopped releasing iconic hits that until this day are still anthems in all of our playlists. The Before and After The most incredible thing to watch in this documentary was how they showed the public the making of all their most iconic hits. They revel raw footage never seen before of how they came up with songs like “Fix You”, “The Scientist”, “Hymn of the Weekend”, “Everglow”, “Viva La Vida”, and almost all the songs from their most recent album A Head Full Of Dreams in the recording studio. And then they proceed to show the evolution of how the songs fill up stadiums. It was truly mesmerizing. You are not too late As I stated, if you did not get to watch this iconic documentary, it will be released on the 16th of November. So run to Amazon Primer and buy it, because it is 100% worth it. This film truly encompasses everything that Coldplay represents. It embodies everything they preach like Martin’s most famous saying, “never give up”. This films lets you inside this band’s world and minds, while also explaining how they would have never gotten to where they are without one another. It is truly amazing. Odesza has quickly become one of the biggest names in the electronic music world. Their latest album, A Moment Apart, which dropped in 2017, brought on a whole new wave of success for the Seattle based duo. Almost a year later, Odesza has returned, blessing our ears with a special deluxe edition of A Moment Apart. The deluxe edition includes the original sixteen tracks as well as nine new versions of some of our past favorites. These new tracks are filled with beautiful instrumentals and upbeat remixes. One of the songs included is the VIP remix to “It’s Only.” This was one of the hit songs off the duo’s 2014 album, In Return. Other tracks on the deluxe version of A Moment Apart include the instrumental versions of “Falls”, “Line of Sight”, and “Higher Ground”. Odesza also added their recent single “Loyal” onto this deluxe version. “Loyal” has a more trap heavy sound than what we are used to hearing from the duo and was released earlier in the year. The deluxe version of A Moment Apart overall is a perfected collection of diverse sounds and rhythms. This album truly showcases Odesza’s musical talent and their constant evolving sounds. Odesza took to Twitter to send a message to their fans about the release of the new album version “A Moment Apart Deluxe drops today and we wanted to say thank you. This record changed our lives and sent us on a wild journey that wouldn’t have been possible without all of your support. Thank you all for listening and being a part of this with us.” Odesza has a few dates left for the end of their U.S. tour before heading overseas. They will be touring until April 2019. For more info on their tour dates, head over to their website. Be sure to download A Moment Apart (Deluxe Edition) on Apple Music and Spotify. Lil Xan has checked himself into rehab in hopes of kicking an opioid addiction. According to TMZ, the 22-year-old cloud rapper was inspired to seek treatment after seeing two of his contemporaries, Mac Miller and Lil Peep, die of an opioid overdose. Lil Xan, whose stage name is derived from the prescription drug Xanax, has been open about his struggles with opiates and benzodiazepines. “In the beginning of 2017 I had my own demons with the drug Xanax,” he said in an interview earlier this year. “It got out of hand so I wanted to make a movement, Xanarchy, about just nothing but anti-Xan use and that’s what I’m really trying to promote in ‘Betrayed.'” “I really don’t agree with glorifying the drug at this point, especially in light of Lil Peep’s death. You’d be stupid to keep glorifying it,” Lil Xan added. “You gotta get off that stuff, it’s not good for you.” Over the summer, Lil Xan was hospitalized after eating too many Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. In October, he was forced to cancel a concert due to a shooting threat at the venue he was scheduled to play. Source

Ten years ago this December, Consequence of Sound assembled our first-ever Annual Report and year-end lists. Some wisdom comes with a decade’s worth of doing anything. You see a lot of hype come and go, and a lot of talent emerge and put down roots. You learn to separate the passing fads from the actual next big things — that is, the ebbs from the evolution. You also learn — though you might never admit it in, say, the intro to a year-end list — that some years just produce far more exciting records than others. Luckily, 2018 had no problem holding our interest. Most would agree we’ve seen a bit of everything, some of which we could never have predicted: dazzling debuts, raucous returns, experimental episodes, political pushbacks, veterans avoiding the well, the proper hip-hop album bloat and shrink, several thrones ascended to, and, most importantly, substance and style largely seizing the day over spectacle and stupid, red hats. While it’s never easy closing the book on such a fascinating and unpredictable year, a part of us already anticipates what 2019 might have in store. But before any of that happens, here are our top 50 albums from 2018. –Matt Melis Editorial Director __________________________________________________________ Source

Cast of The Office reunites amidst rumors of possible revival
News posted a topic in DJ Headquarters
Last month, several former Office cast members turned out to surprise Steve Carell when he hosted Saturday Night Live. This weekend brought an even larger Office reunion. Angela Kinsey, who played Angela on the show, shared a photo from the weekend get-together, which was hosted by The Office creator Greg Daniels. Joining Kinsey and Daniels in attendance were Rainn Wilson (Dwight), Ed Helms (Andy), Jenna Fischer (Pam), Creed Bratton (Creed), Paul Lieberstein (Toby), Brian Baumgartner (Kevin), Leslie David Baker (Stanley), Phyllis Smith (Phyllis), and Oscar Nunez (Oscar). Might they have been discussing The Office revival reportedly in the works? We know most every one in attendance has expressed interest in reprising their respective character, so it’s certainly possible. (Carell and John Krasinski, both of who would be unlikely to return for such a revival, were conspicuously absent.) For now, check out the reunion photo below, along with a short Instagram video posted by Fischer. Kinsey and Baumgartner also filmed a segment together for Kinsey’s online web series, Baking with Josh and Ange. Appropriately, they made chili, and you can watch the full clip below as well. Some of the old gang got together today… it was so great to see everyone! I turned to Ed and said, “I feel like we are at a family reunion.” He smiled and said, “We are.” Thanks Greg for hosting! For those who couldn’t make it… you were missed! pic.twitter.com/DwF42lNGHk — Angela Kinsey (@AngelaKinsey) December 3, 2018 Low-key Office reunion from DunderMifflin Source -

One of the founding members of the hip-hop group The Fugees has been accused in connection with a labyrinthine scheme to launder money from corrupt Malaysian officials into the United States. According to ABC News, Prakazrel “Pras” Michel, musician and Fugees co-founder, and George Higginbotham, a former member of the Department of Justice, allegedly took part in a conspiracy to influence Department of Justice investigations into Malaysian financier Jho Low. According to court documents prosecutors produced Friday, the DOJ has charged Low for attempted bribery of overseas officials to curb investigations into the laundering of tens of millions of dollars into the country from the company 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB). Prosecutors claim that Low sought out a “longtime political fundraiser” to lobby the American government for him, with the goal of getting the DOJ to back off efforts to investigate 1MDB. The documents allege that Michel’s role was to help hide links between this lobbying campaign and Low, and he apparently recruited Higginbotham to aid him in this effort. It gets worse; after the DOJ refused to back off investigations into 1MBD, Low – along with Higginbotham and Michel’s help – sought to get the unnamed fundraiser to push for the US government to deport an unnamed foreign national critical of his home government. Higginbotham funneled tens of millions of dollars through various shell companies to pay Michel for his services, and forged fake documents to make the payments seem legitimate. While Higginbotham has been charged with one felony count of “conspiracy to make false statements”, no charges have been publicly filed against Michel as of yet. However, the investigation is “ongoing,” the Justice Department notes. Source

Looks like Azealia Banks isn’t the only artist that Grimes is beefing with — Poppy’s getting in on the action, too. The former Youtuber-turned-pop star told Billboard that, during their recent collaboration “Play Destroy” on Poppy’s latest album Am I a Girl?, she was “kind of bullied into submission by [Grimes] and her team of self-proclaimed feminists. “We planned the song coming out months ago, and she was preventing it. I got to watch her bully songwriters into signing NDA and not taking credit for songs that they were a part of.” After a few days of radio silence (presumably to hold off until the release of new single “We Appreciate Power”), Grimes finally responded with a message on her Instagram. It reads: “Poppy, you dragged me into a disgusting situation and won’t stop punishing me for not wanting to be a part of it. I don’t want to work with you, you leaked the song anyway. u got what you want. Let it go.” Read a screencap of Grimes’ IG post below. Source

On the heels of his surprise LP Kamikaze, Eminem has just released a new freestyle track called “Kick Off”. The monster track, which clocks in at 11 minutes, was recorded at the Shelter at St. Andrew’s in Detroit. Its accompanying visuals sees Slim Shady in a dimly lit room surrounded by kegs, donned in a white hoodie, spitting bars at the camera. His references run the gamut, as he touches on everyone from to Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, to actress Reese Witherspoon, to Laci Peterson, who was killed by husband Scott Peterson in 2002. One of the most notable stretches on “Kick Off” is Eminem’s discussion of the Manchester concert bombing of 2017, in which a man set off a bomb during an Ariana Grande performance, killing 22 people. “Seeing Ariana Grande sing her last song of the evening, and as the audience from the damn concert is leaving, detonates the device strapped to his abdominal region…” Em stops. “I’m not gonna finish that for obvious reasons.” Haunting stuff. It’s not all doom and gloom, though; there’s plenty of great shade at folks like Justin Bieber, whom Em describes as a Catholic schoolboy turned drug dealer. It’s long, but it’s more than worth a look, the latest in a series of great filmed freestyles, including the one he did last year on Donald Trump. Perhaps he should stick to releases like this as opposed to weighty full-length albums which often lack focus and energy. Watch “Kick Off” in full below. Source

The Boss is getting back to his day job. Bruce Springsteen, who is currently wrapping up his successful one-man show Springsteen on Broadway, is working on a new solo album. What’s more, he has plans for a UK tour next year with the E Street Band. According to an interview with The Times, Springsteen said of his new album, “For lack of a better word, it’s a singer-songwriter album – more of a solo record.” This album will be his first album since High Hopes in 2014. Earlier this summer, members of the E Street Band and producer Ron Aniello were spotted at Springsteen’s New Jersey studio. At the same time, Springsteen also noted he will go “back to my day job”, with a 2019 tour of the UK with the E Street Band. Presumambly, dates in Europe will follow. I’m sure the Boss is eager to get back to what he does best; while Springsteen on Broadway has been a massive success, with Springsteen receiving a special Tony Award for the show earlier this year, he’s been treading the boards of the Walter Kerr Theater five days a week for more than a year. A special double-length live album version is set for release, while Netflix will premiere concert film version of the show on December 16. Watch a newly revealed trailer for the film below. Source

Chet Porter just announced he’s taking a break from touring to focus on his mental health. This comes in the midst of San Holo‘s current tour, which the producer has been a part of all along. “PLEASE READ!!!” he starts off in an official statement. “Last night in Minneapolis was my last show on the San Holo tour. I will not be at any of the remaining dates. I’ll keep this brief, but as you may already know I’ve been having a really difficult time with my mental health for the past few months. My team and I think it’s important that I focus on feeling better, instead of spending another 3+ more weeks on the road.” Chet also apologizes to any fans hoping to see him on upcoming tour dates. He promises he will make it up to those cities one day. He ends it with, love, appreciation, and a “please don’t be mad at me.” San Holo’s tour still has quite a few dates left, and will soon hit Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Seattle, and more before traveling to Sydney, Mexico City, London and beyond. See full list of dates here. Tour life certainly isn’t easy. It takes great strength to take this necessary step back and make the best decision for the sake of personal wellbeing. Take care of yourself, Chet. Woodstock is planning on a major comeback for its 50th anniversary next year, and now we have even more details about the future celebration, thanks to The Festive Owl and sources close to the event. Detailed below you’ll find all the information from the previous leak, including potential headliners, and lots of new information. In speaking with the CEO of INVNT, The Festive Owl can confirm the music festival will take place August 16 – 18, 2019 at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts (BWCA). That’s the same historic site of the 1969 Woodstock bash. However, the event is not going to be called Woodstock, or Journey On like the flyers below suggest. Much like the original Woodstock events, it will be “a celebration of music, culture and community, featuring live music acts, talks and special exhibitions.” New info from the sources say this event is in no way affiliated with the Woodstock brand or co-founder Michael Lang. Hmm… More information will be provided in the coming months. See below. Earlier this year, Frances Bean Cobain revealed her intention to pursue a career in music. Since then, the daughter of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love has been previewing original music via her Instagram page. Over the weekend, she debuted her latest offering, which you can see below. “No one told me/ How I should love myself/ Damn near killed me/ Damn near killed myself/ I’ve been stuck inside your time capsule,” Cobain croons on the track. “Don’t you think you ought to let me go/ If I could keep the raspiness in my voice from being sick without being sick… I would.” Source
