Yeah the DJ tag is becoming lame. I think Tiesto set that ball rolling when he changed from Dj Tiesto to Tiesto

Some DJs will use a DVS such as Serato or Traktor and some will use Ableton Live like Deadmau5. Any DJ that plays live with VDJ... is not a DJ. Ohh and some ppl (me one day hopefully) will use Traktor with a midi mixer and run samples and loops directly off their pc.

Hey guys, I've been pretty distant of ADJF recently. So I thought I needed to add some more useless traffic Don't you love those transitions that you don't have any idea how they're gunna turn out, and they just go BOOM.. HUGE!!!?? The ones in the middle of a breakdown, you've lifted the channel fader, it's too late to go back! You don't really know what's gunna happen, what if the phrasing is wrong? What if the chorus comes back in??? But no... everything comes together massively and you launch it into a new tune... the energy levels go through the roof... in fact the mixers so hot you can't even touch it!! This is why DJing is awesome yes??

One song on a CD isn't for everyone. I know a few Pro DJs that do it differently, I looked through Grant Smillie's wallet once and he had a couple on each, with 2 copies of every cd. The basic school of thought with only having one on a cd is that i can arrange them in musical key. So any cd's within the same area of my wallet, are gunna sound pretty gd together. Then I have the tempo and a one or two word description like: "EPIC", "LATIN", "DISCO", "FIDGET", "DEEP" etc.

wow your not very prepared lol. You need to check out the club and find out what music they like, have a rough set in mind, fe new ones.. a lot of popular ones and a few classics. Bring a gd pair of headphones. I have CDs with only one song, them have the tempo and the key written on it.
