  1. im getting it 2mrw! yeeaaah!! and i wont get to play with it till like... the 3rd of jan lol
  2. personally I wouldnt recommend speeding up a song that much at all. I've been to clubs where they DJ has sped up the track waay to much. Otherwise, just gradually do it. Or at the beginning of a breakdown when the whole song is filtered.
  3. yeah i just zoomed in on it lol
  4. my axiom pro will be a pretty handy midi controller for the short term
  5. turntables if your a traditionalist with a lot of money for wax, CD if not
  6. yeah, im waiting on my storedj membership to clear, then it will be alll mine :D
  7. go for about $150 pair I reckon. Once like yours and mine are designed for high output, not really neccessary for beginners. Audio Technica PRO700s or whatever they are go allright
  8. yeah.. those speakers should be good for parties. They've got some punch man. Just keep in mind that monitors are designed to output the true sound that is being produced, so make sure you mix with quality audio. You won't notice too much of a difference, especially with low end monitors like the behringers. Yeah, cans are headphones, sorry. Any technics, sony's, sennheisers, audio technicas etc will do the job. I've got Xone xd 53s and they are orgasmic.
  9. Those decks are a carbon copy of mine with a different name lol. They are fine for beginners, def recommend. Alternatively you could sacrifice some cash for your speakers and get this: http://www.storedj.com.au/products/product.php?id=2467 Probably an overkill on the speakers though. Just a basic Hi Fi will do, or even better, a pair of cheap monitors. PA arent designed for bedroom DJing and they do not create the tru sound that you want when monitoring (doing what you do when you practice). Try: http://www.storedj.com.au/products/product.php?id=2269 I have a mate that has them and they're pretty nice. Just remember you have to budget in for a pair of cans as well.
  10. neither do I dude. you dont really have to know too much, just learn basic theory and chords and your set.
  11. About $550 for the 49 key
  12. Pretty interesting video for those who like youtube styled learning. Very boring narration though.
  13. I've decided to go with the Axiom Pro 49 key. It has automatic mapping to virtually every DAW and doubles as a great MIDI control surface. If used properly, it eliminates the need to use a QWERTY keyboard, completely. I've been told the extra money is worth it, because it's so easy to use. Here is a good video of it: http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/AxiomPro49.html ("you can either hold the button down to close and open the plugin in window... NOICE!" lmao!) Full Features 49-note, TruTouch semi-weighted, piano-style, professional-action keybed proprietary HyperControl MIDI mapping and host control •automatically maps controllers to popular DAWs and software instruments—and maintains a constant live link between them •compatible with digital audio workstations including Pro Tools®, Cubase, Logic and Reason* •graphic LCD groups and names controls modularly with 4 dedicated profiles per group for easy recall •dedicated button toggles between Mixer and Instrument control modes •Transport-only mode option enables DAW transport control and track navigation combined with user MIDI controller mappings ASCII messages for software keyboard shortcuts 65 MIDI-assignable controls in total •9 sliders, with auto-mute to prevent jumping •9 buttons complementing the sliders •8 rotary encoders •8 velocity-sensitive trigger pads •12 buttons in keypad arrangement •6 transport buttons •7 function keys •aftertouch •1 sustain pedal socket •1 expression pedal socket •1 data/octave button •pitch bend and modulation wheels 50 onboard memory locations USB bus-powered MIDI Out and MIDI In ports for extended external connectivity 4 programmable keyboard zones

    My new Club Demo

    anyone else had a listen?
  16. yeap. and StoreDJ is cheaper imo. The service i got at DJ warehouse, will end up costing them thousands and thousands of dollars. Silly mistake.
  17. yes but korg dont at all specialise in mixers. Pioneer do. Pioneer is industry standard, therefore you can walk straight into a club. The korg effects are irelevant for beginners anyway. A beginners focus shouldnt be on what sick effects they can produce. It's quality sound through EQing and beatmatching. Pioneer have superior build quality, not to Xones, but to other brands also some effects and they are commonly recognised. Not not just about features like how many channels or effects. It's about their build quality and their sound. Look at the DDM4000, its got heaps of features. But its made out of plastic, probably the same as the korg
  18. fucking insanely good
  19. ooooh *cringe* I bought one of those aaages ago. It went allright, but then it kept skipping and not reading my USB, one CD player decided to stop reading anything at all and then it wouldnt eject my cd lol. And i think it only had 16% pitch range on it.
  20. haha DJM800>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>DDM4000
  21. i think RnB mixing is a lot of cut mixing. crossfading the shit out of everything, using special effects everywhere, scratching etc.
  22. I think the VIP section should have exclusive content in it, like blog links, some tutorials, exclusive tracks etc.
  23. I use Reason 4.
  24. I have the Xone:22 and yes it is good. But the 400 is by far the best 2 channel mixer in that price range. It has several effects, and a sampler. Which the Xone doesnt have.
  25. hey mate. So describe this gear you have?
