  1. yeah, i got told about him a while back one night when i was pissed and couldn't figure out how to spell his name the next day lol. I havent look at his website properly yet. But I've heard a few of his sets. I just love loops man and its impossibly hard to execute a perfect loop on a cd player. I just love the way Deadmau5 uses them and how he shorten them with the in-loop sampler thing he does. Where he cut and change a loop and then when he's finished with it, it continues on with the song, where it should have been if he hadn't of done anything...
  2. lol. I think Dennis has either died of old age, or forgotten his password.
  3. yeah buck_choi, they only make one kind mate Chev, I'd be using it for an all in mixer, with CDJ and midi combined. To run a program like Traktor with the 4 decks to run loops and samples Richie Hawtin/Deadmau5 style. I love how they almost produce on the fly in their shows. Speedy J does it too. You dig yo?
  4. haha, yeah i know. I love Allen and Heath. I'll be geting a 4D one of these days . Thanks for your input man.
  5. I started properly mixing end of 06, on Virtual DJ, then moved onto analogue mixing on CD players end of 08 and completed a 12 week course mid way through this year to get a solid base of knowledge I hadnt allready learnt myself and to get info from pro DJs. Never really took in a lot of info from videos. Allthough ellaskins is allright on youtube. I just learnt through experience. Took a long time to get to where I am today.
  6. haha, yeah. My mrs. did everything. I've left them basically uncropped, just to show everyone. I will fix them up when I use them for promo stuff, cus there is other stuff like the door and the carpet in the background.
  7. dude, of course they are... The fact that it's pioneer should say enough lol. But seriously...
  8. doesn't matter if he is, he doesn't wanna or cant sell them. They're not worth that much anyways
  9. Hey guys, very bored, so have a look at my new pics. I know Cupe, Tomy and Chev may find these interesting.
  10. lol, that was wack. umm, well do you have ne practice in analogue mixing? This is the quality of a set you would expect to hear in your average club: October Demo (analogue mix) by Chris Gould Now, you should be up to this standard if you want to do serious gigs like that formal, IMO anyway. Find out what gear they have and what they expect. Why dont you do some simple wedding style mixing for this event, then work on getting yourself to the standard referred to above. Oh and I'm not calling myself awesome, I just think I could comfortably walk into a club and produce a quality set.
  11. how are you losing face dude? You have no reputation as a DJ...
  12. you could just say: LOLx4 at the end of your post if you like
  13. nah man, if theres no guys back there, you might pull a few slutts back there to keep ya company!
  14. I like the Intro, is good. It's definetily a prog track, so nothing wrong there. One thing that I would do, is have a kick from the first beat and have a filter over it, to gradually fade into a full kick at the 17 bar mark. Maybe another breakdown is needed as well?? it's a fairly short prog track. We will see how it sounds after lyrics are put in. Ohh yeah, not a massive fan on the outro either, needs at least another 32 bars to break it down.
  15. Find out what they expect from the night. If they say they want some "bangin set, that sends them on a harmonic journey through wonders of dance music"... then don't do it lol. But if they say, "yeah whatever man, play that sexy bitch song man!! ill give you a copy, off that onelove album I downloaded off limwire!!" then do it lol. formal is risky, cus it'll be an entire school and you'll have adults and teachers observing. def b'day parties though.
  16. infekted?
  17. yeah, wasn't having a go at you jaytee, it was just funny. Once you learn music structure better, you will understand. Just banged out a set then Tomy, with some Warp style 'woop woop'ing lol. But yeah, I'll do a proper one once you send me that song. I might speed it up a bit on Live, was it a 120bpm?? Do you know what key it is?
  18. I'd buy if i had the cash
  19. hey man, do it if you like. But they wont teach any sort of DJing that will get you work in clubs. "ok so press play on here and as the other one starts to finish, move the crossfader. BAMN!" They'd basically teach you how to set stuff up like the lighting and the audio system. But yeah, I spose you could do it if it meant you earn some coin. But just realise that it wont teach you a lot in terms of mixing. Wish I was in Brissy so I could give you a few free lessons.
  20. haha, funny that... LOL I cant believed i missed this
