  1. Lunatic is classified on beatport under Electro House I think they're just electro/house tracks with dubstep/trap breakdowns The first track sounds like a bit of jumpdafuckup electro/house but with those artists it has a splash of their primary genre (ie. there's some skrillex wubs on it)
  2. Ello and welcome
  3. I sent him a message to get him to check this thread.
  4. Added soundcloud tags to your post and reposted on ADJF Soundcloud
  5. yeah man the rules here are pretty relaxed As long as you post in the right place, and don't be a general dickhead you're pretty much all good Welcome to the best place on earth
  6. Gotta sort lighting out to deal with that noggin shadow Your scratching and beat juggling is mad good
  7. Had a crack at drone-style ambient. It's not for everyone, but I like it. https://soundcloud.com/cupe/a-castle-drawbridge
  8. Yea because it's a wedding I assume they want to be able to at least hear the songs on their own for a major portion of them. I know some DJs that would take that list and mix together like a baus (I'm looking at you Mitch) and some songs would only see maybe 30 seconds of that song on its own before it was being mashed into the next one. But given it's a wedding whoever takes this up needs to clearly understand what is required. The original songs could be in any number of formats: wav, mp3, aiff etc But I assume whoever does it will just export and save an mp3 file, given that's the easiest to use. You'll need to get the artist names done up asap, 'cause some of those songs have multiple artists (depending on year of release), remakes, remixes etc so you'll need to confirm that before anyone will know what is required of them and how big the job will be.
  9. Ah, cheers for the extra info. As far as a price goes, like I said a normal DJ would take around 2 hours to mix that many tracks, and if it's for a wedding I'm assuming you don't want the tracks too beatmixed into each other for the sake of people enjoying that song at that time. I know DJs that can beatmix well enough that they all become a mash; especially if they're mixing from 3 or more decks at the same time, but I'm guessing you really just want the songs to all play in a row, sounding fairly seamless without gaps of silence in between. 80 tracks is about 2-3 hours, and on top of that the DJ needs to own every track in your list, tracks are usually 2-3 dollars each. That's about $200 worth of music + the time it takes to book someone to create the mix at around 2-3 hours (an average DJ plays for about 100-150/hour). If you want the tracks to have a small amount of mixing into each other it could push out to around 4 hours. You might get someone responding shooting a proposal/deal at you for a certain amount. I'd do it for fuck all but I don't have all the songs.
  10. Well they want a mix done with tracks they have, in a specified order. It's not really standard, but I'm not sure if anyone is just going to do it for free, because it will take time. Especially with 80 songs. Why not just get some track arrangement software and do it yourself? (Unless of course you were hoping someone would do it for free, in which case good luck lolz). The costs should reflect how much it would cost to hire a DJ that would mix 80 songs (which is about 1-3 hours depending).
  11. Are you wanting someone to do this for free, or are you wanting to contract someone (if you are, name a price).
  12. Are you wanting someone to mix these at an event or do the mix and send an mp3 to you?
  13. Cops are dogs
  14. I like the way you think. So they're def sold?
  15. Pretty good price, probably way too low.
  16. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck
  17. This is an example of the media bullshitting a story through tricky use of words and making it sound more harsh than reality. Saying it 'faces closure' is media hype, which is probably why they haven't commented on what is simply a licence review.
  18. Cheers lad. It could take a bit for everyone here to sort out a bulk order
  19. From his early days as a bedroom producer at home in North Carolina to his current status as a festival headliner, Porter Robinson has always done things his way. This year, he left “music for DJs” behind and delivered a very different debut album, adored by fans and critics alike. In this one-on-one conversation, we talk to Porter about the best and worst of electronic culture, where the scene is headed and why he feels “anxiety about EDM is spiking.”
