  1. As promised, Marshmello has released his song with Egyptian vocalist and writer Amr Diab. Entitled “Bayen Habeit (In Love),” Marshmello also called it one of his favorite songs he’s made – let’s see what all the fuss is about. The entire song is in Arabic, so most fans will likely have a tough time identifying with the song beyond the basic production (though there are subtitled in the video). Marshmello has said that it’s a song about love, which is at least fairly easily conveyed by the vibe of the song – it’s certainly not a banger. “Bayen Habeit (In Love)” is Marshmello’s first foreign-language song, and though he’s already been global in a performance sense, this track will no doubt expose him to millions more listeners across the world. And furthermore by teaming up with Amr Diab, who has 9.5 million followers on Twitter alone, he’ll be reaching an absolutely massive audience. Listen to “Bayen Habeit (In Love)” below and let us know what you think. Photo via Rukes.com This article was first published on Your EDM. 2. Trap lords Boombox Cartel and Flosstradamus have teamed up for an absolutely massive new track, “ID.” Sure, this sounds like one of those unnamed tracks you’d hear dropped during either of their sets, and frantically turn to your friends like — “What is this!?” Lucky for fans, “ID” just so happens to be the title of track so no need to wait for an official release. It’s already here. Days ago, the guys loaded up 200 USBs with the new “ID” and sprinkled them across some of their favorite cities in North America. “Go find them and listen to it before everyone else,” Boombox Cartel shared on Twitter. Now, it’s time for the entire world to hear. “ID” takes a minimalist approach to trap. Nothing about it screams for attention or tries too hard, it’s simply well done and addictive by design. The unexpected second drop is probably the best part — so wait for it. Listen to “ID” here, out now via Mad Decent. 3. If you’re anything like us, you’ve been dying to see Skrillex throw down again. Well, he’s finally making his rounds and over the weekend he showed Listen Out Melbourne what he’s made of… He threw down a pretty standard Skrillex set for the most part. Diehard fans will be familiar with many of the songs and selects. But, he did make room for plenty of new bootlegs and IDs, including the Travis Scott remix he’s been working on and another rarity “Ping Pong.” After taking a pretty massive step back from the spotlight, it seems OWSLA’s fearless leader has a newfound energy and his stage presence is as killer as ever. With brand new, game-changing music on the horizon, Skrillex is truly an unmissable act for the foreseeable future. Fans are overjoyed that his tour schedule is filling out over the next few months. See his most recent full set below and catch Skrillex live if you have the opportunity! Keep your fingers crossed for a full-fledged tour. We definitely are. 4. 88rising’s collaborative album Head In The Clouds came out earlier this year, featuring all of the label’s best and brightest: Joji, Rich Brian, Yung Pinch, Don Krez, AUGUST 08, Higher Brothers, you get the idea. This week, 88rising has begun putting out new remixes from the album, the first two being a couple of our favorite producers. KRANE’s remix for “Midsummer Madness” dropped first, spinning the already downtempo hip hop ballad into a more electronic experience, giving it a drop that blends perfectly with the vibe of the original. The smooth and sultry remix is a wonderful alternative to the original without being too far removed, still owing its general soundscape to the producers who made it great in the first place. Today, Robotaki dropped his remix for “History.” He takes the almost goofy original and gives it a finesse that oozes sex appeal and confidence that is right in line with Robotaki’s brilliant productions. “I couldn’t be more excited to partner with 88 Rising for this remix. The movement they have created is inspiring and means so much to a lot of people globally; myself included.” – Robotaki Following the release of his newest EP Science and a massive festival run, he is prepared for the next phase of his career. A fully live tour (vocals, drums, piano and flute… yes, flute) with custom stage design dubbed “The Lab” and a string of new singles and remixes is coming to a city near you. 5. The worlds of Khamsin and Kidswaste combined on their new single “Plastic Dreams,” featuring an indie dance approach to the production with some innocent and fun vocals. “Plastic Dreams” is a wildly enjoyable tune that almost perfectly conveys adolescent freedom in its whimsy and lighthearted vibes. “I started this song a few months ago and I sent it to Kidswaste to get his thoughts & advice. He really liked it and told me he wanted to try stuff. Beside being one of my best friends, I always loved working with Quentin. We made a few dj sets, collaborated via our band Slow Hours, and I truly think we share a lot of common influences. I’m more than happy with the final result on this song and the way it blends our universes.” – Khamsin Check it out below! This article was first published on Your EDM. 6. Apple just acquired Shazam for a cool $400 million and music fans will be stoked on the most immediate change. The app will soon become ad-free for all of its users. Shazam is the most quick and reliable way for identifying tracks. Apple is a one-stop-shop for streaming and downloading. Together, they sound like music to our ears. According to the press release, Shazam has been downloaded over 1 billion times around the world. Users identify songs on the app over 20 million times each day. It only makes sense for Apple to tap into one of the most popular apps in its store. “Apple and Shazam have a long history together,” Apple’s vice president of Apple Music, Oliver Schusser explains. “Shazam was one of the first apps available when we launched the App Store and has become a favorite app for music fans everywhere.” Getting rid of the ads is like a cherry on top. This should make for an all-around better experience for discovering, enjoying, and sharing music! Learn more via Apple and see related news here. This article was first published on Your EDM. 7. Launching in 2013, CloudKid has quickly morphed into one of the most renowned channels for electronic music discovery and has continued to blossom into a full-blown record label. Striving to diminish traditional beliefs and values in the music industry, CloudKid focuses on developing and growing artists to recognised talent. From recent releases with the likes of Gabriel Black, TRAILS, MEMBA to name just a few – we caught up with founder Gereon Sommerburg on how things all started and what’s next for this rising label. What is CloudKid and how did it all start? CloudKid is an artistic brand focused on shining the light on undiscovered talent both on the music spectrum but also on the art/design side of things. The YouTube channel was the starting point. I was (and still am) a huge fan of channels like MrSuicideSheep, Majestic Casual, The Sound You Need etc. However, none of these channels appealed to my personal taste 100%. Hence I decided to create my own channel and try to do things my way. That has now grown into a record label where we sign artists and help launch their careers, and promoting artists and merchandise on our Instagram. How and why was the label born? The aim with the YouTube channel was always to help launch artists careers and for it to be that starting point. I quickly realised that an upload on the channel alone, although extremely impactful, wasn’t enough for a lot of artists to turn their passion into a career. With my network and my team’s experience we decided that we had to take this to the next level, and so the label was born. Do you think running such a successful YouTube platform gave you an advantage when turning to A&R and releasing music? Most definitely, it is a great source of discovery of new talent and gives a very tangible value for artists we reach out to work with. I think these days its so easy for an artist to self-release on DSPS that a label needs to bring in a lot more value than just being able to distribute or throw money at a record. What’s the philosophy behind the label? It’s all about giving freedom to our artists. Although we are a brand, for us signing an artist isn’t a means of growing our own platforms. We want to use our brand to grow the artist and we want to direct our audience as much as we can to the artist’s platforms. We try to be as hands on as possible in areas where we feel the artist really needs help and to the extent that we are not placing road blocks in their vision and are allowing them to be themselves at all times. You will notice we rarely put our logo on any label releases. In practical terms though, it’s about not over-releasing and spreading ourselves thin. We are not trying to create an enormous catalogue, we are trying to build a tight knit roster of artists that we can give all our attention to and really help launch to the next level. You’ve made a name for yourselves as being tastemakers for the electronic genre on YouTube. What do you look for in the artists you release and how do you find them? Well for one, it’s all about the music of course. I think when we’re talking music, its all about the feeling that gives but also about finding an artist that is trying something new and unique. I think the seconds biggest aspect is the artist vision. Where are they going, what’s his message what are their goals? Finally it’s all about branding and aesthetic. That speaks so much to us and is so important when signing someone. What have been your proudest achievements so far? For me the most fun and fulfilling project we’ve done as a label this year was definitely the track we worked on with Gabriel Black titled ‘Jump.’ Working super close with the artist and his team to build a story around a release with a mobile game, merchandise, animated videos and assets with Gabriel and CloudKid as well as a lyric video in the artists style was one of the best projects so far. Seeing that all come together and actually experiencing the impact it had on the artist is what I strive to do a lot more of. What have been the greatest difficulties, as a label, and as individuals working within a label, you’ve had to overcome? I think where we’ve struggled the most at the start was solidifying our long term vision. We had to experiment quite a bit to realise where we truly wanted to be. I think another big struggle at the early stages was getting distracted by too many opportunities. It is so easy to get excited by all the possible opportunities you can take to exploit your catalog or make more money as a label. But we quickly realised we need to pinpoint our vision and really cyber-focus on that. Desert Island Disco: what three label releases would you take with to cover all musical bases, moods and occasions? Gabriel Black – ‘Jump’ for the moments I’m feeling down. Memba – ‘Flash’ to get myself motivated and hyped up. JT Roach – ‘Lazy Kisses’ to put me in a good mood! What DJs, artists and labels are exciting you at the moment? From a label perspective we really look up to Fueled By Ramen, Future Classic, Mom & Pop and Interscope. In terms of artists, DROELOE, Whethan, MAX, Louis The Child, Oliver Tree, grandson (to name a few). Where would you like to see the label in a year’s time? The ultimate goal and what we have been working hard on the past year is to build a roster of a few artists that we can work with long term and help build a strong affiliation with on our brand. 8. Following on from tracks like ‘Love’ and ‘Clash,’ the UK producer Jordan Comolli is flexing his technical prowess with a single for Quality Goods Records. His edgy, layered sound has attracted the interest of its founder UZ, who he produced a wildly successful remix for. This week he drops ‘Over You,’ which can be streamed below. A collision of heady rhythmical swagger, climatic piano work and some frenetic drum patterns, Comolli shows us just why he is an artist to watch. We have a feeling he has much more to offer in the coming months… Listen now. This article was first published on Your EDM. Source: Jordan Comolli – Over You Source
  9. Major Lazer have spent more than a decade spreading dance hall and world music across the planet. But they might finally be hanging up their microphones next year. In an interview with Complex, Diplo revealed, “Next year marks our last album, so we got a lot of stuff in between now and then.” His other side projects Silk City and LSD also taking off. And he’s also got a stellar solo career with residencies in many Las Vegas nightclubs, so it makes sense. LSD has put out three songs since May, and Silk City has done four, including collaborations with Dua Lipa and GoldLink & Desiigner. To say that Diplo is busy is an understatement. “Music is so fast nowadays. It’s like we’re in a hip-hop cycle all the time; a new rapper comes out and careers last like two years these days,” Diplo laments. “Everything is so rushed, so we’re just so lucky we can get things out on the radio these days. I think this project has enough energy around it that we’re able to keep being relevant, that’s the essence of being great DJs. We all love music, so we don’t have to get stuck in a certain style.” Major Lazer just dropped a major -pun intended – Afrobeats mixtape featuring a bunch of music they’re going to be releasing on an Afro-centric EP (already three tracks in) before the final album next year. You can hear that below. This article was first published on Your EDM. Source: Diplo Announces The End of Major Lazer Source
  10. As if seeing Shaq aka DJ Diesel on tour or at Lost Lands wasn’t enough, the 7’1″ personality has just dropped an exclusive mix on Too Future and we’re way, way too happy about it. Coming from Lost Lands, Shaq was easily the most-talked about artist or happening at the festival all weekend, and he’s leaving a mark on the festival scene as big as his size 22 feet. Dropping everything from Herobust to Destructo to NGHTMRE and even his own original “What’s Up Doc” edit, the 30-minute mix is constantly entertaining and you’re just left waiting to see what unexpected banger he’ll drop next. 11. When a festival cancels and refunds your tickets without any explanation, the logical conclusion in anyone’s mind is that the event has been cancelled. However, for an unconfirmed amount of people this past weekend, they can breath easy knowing Secret Project Festival is still going on. According to FrontGate tickets, the platform through which people purchased their passes, it was due to some kind of error on their end. “Secret Project is still scheduled for October 13th-14th,” they confirmed. “We are able to reconfirm your order and recharge you for the tickets via the link sent to your email. In order to initiate the recharge, please provide your authorization to do so by visiting the link in your email and filling out the form. The new charge will be initiated and hit your account within 72 hours of your authorization. We apologize for this error and any inconvenience caused.” The event is set to feature some of techno’s and house’s biggest artists like Âme b2b Dixon, Marcel Dettmann, Stephan Bodzin, Tale Of Us, Carl Cox, Bonobo, Bicep, DJ Tennis, and more. If you did not receive an email update, please contact Front Gate Tickets by email at order-support@frontgatetickets.com, or by phone at 888-512-SHOW (7469). 12. Skrillex has been making headlines for many new events announced in his New Year’s Eve run, but he doesn’t seem to be stopping there! According to a Stubhub page for Lollapalooza Argentina, Skrillex will be playing the event. The page comes up when searching the Argentinian Stubhub domain for “Skrillex” events. The event hasn’t been listed on any official Skrillex channels, but this wouldn’t be the first time that a ticketing page has leaked a lineup before the event itself. Of course, this could just as easily be a mistake, so we won’t know until Skrillex says something or the official lineup comes out. But it wouldn’t be a stretch to think that Skrillex would be playing. With all the rumors of new music coming out (which in themselves are nothing new), playing shows wouldn’t be far behind. If you feel like taking a chance, you can get tickets via Stubhub here or on the official Lollapalooza Argentina site here. Photo via Rukes.com This article was first published on Your EDM. 13. League of Legends has a long history of teaming up with artists for unique pieces of music for their events, including past submissions from Zedd, Arty, Jauz, Marshmello, and more. Mako returns again, accompanied by The Glitch Mob & The Word Alive for new song “RISE” for the Worlds 2018 event. The video features many of the game’s favorite heroes, as well as real world players representing the story of Worlds 2017, Royal Never Give Up’s ADC Jian “Uzi” Zi-Hao and SK Telecom T1’s Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok. Beyond the animation and story, the song is a brilliant and emphatic portrayal of strife and struggle in the auditory sense, and perfectly conveys the story the video is attempting to tell. The 2018 LoL World Championships begin October 1 in South Korea and will go until November 3, when a new champion is crowned. This article was first published on Your EDM. 14. Only five months after releasing his long awaited debut album Zodiac, California-born producer Xan Griffin has released the final EP of the artist project, Self Discovery. It’s an odd move, but not one that’s been taken lightly – nothing like this ever is. In a statement provided to Your EDM, Griffin says: “I just wanna say thanks to everyone who has supported my music over the years it’s been an amazing time. I’m not gonna stop making music but just move on to another project where I’m making the songs I’m truly passionate about. Maybe every once in a while you’ll see some random track getting uploaded to my Xan Griffin accounts every once in a while, but it’s not my primary focus anymore. Thank you all, and much love.” Self Discovery is, in my opinion, one of the finest EPs of the year, perhaps even better than Xan’s own album released earlier this year. These five tracks alone convey so much emotion and intensity that it makes us even more heartbroken that it’s the last we’ll hear from this project. The opening track, “Insanity,” is nearly a nearly six-minute long atmospheric and electronic journey that truly embodies the insanity of the mind in its many twists and turns, never holding onto one rhythm or sequence for two long. “Free Mind” is like a massive exhale, finally letting go of all the tension you’d been holding in your back, your shoulders, loosening up and shaking it all off. The rest of the EP is similarly evocative of emotional catharsis and reawakening, discovering personal self-worth, making changes, and moving forward. Of course, all of this is my own interpretation of the music and yours could be wildly different, but isn’t that the beauty of music in the first place? I encourage you to take the time to listen to this work and connect with it in your own way, and say goodbye to Xan Griffin. He’ll be coming back, though we know not how… Discover the EP here. 15. Somewhere within the massive hype surrounding Lil Wayne‘s return and Tha Carter V, the actual drop date got lost in the shuffle. Several initial reports, ours included, expected the album to finally be unleashed last week. Now, the man himself has an important update for fans. “Message to the world,” Weezy starts up in the video below. “On my birthday, I actually have something special… I will be releasing Tha Carter V on my birthday.” “Again, on my birthday…” and he repeats… “I will be releasing Tha Carter V on my birthday. If you don’t know when my birthday is, Wikipedia does. Wiki me bish!” This is all said as he flashes some of the biggest Tunechi grins we’ve ever seen. He doesn’t end the message without giving lots of love and the sincerest thanks to his fans, who he says he’d be nothing without. According to Wikipedia, Lil Wayne’s birthday is September 27. So, we can officially expect the long-awaited CV to drop in just two days. Get ready! Lil Wayne Announces Tha Carter V This article was first published on Your EDM. 16. Going to the club and raving is all about having fun, not being injured or put in harm’s way. Unfortunately one unlucky attendee walked out of super club Amnesia Ibiza almost missing an eye. Grounds for a lawsuit? This attendee certainly thinks so. Amnesia Ibiza is being sued by the aforementioned injured attendee, named Charlie Mercer. Mercer almost lost an eye when a decorative vinyl record fell from the club’s ceiling and sliced his eyelid and cheek. UK tabloid The Sun reports doctors saved Mercer with an emergency procedure, but a six-inch gash was left on his face. Mercer describes seeing blood and fearing losing his eyesight, a nightmare for anyone. Mercer sued Amnesia after the unfateful night last September, but the club apparently didn’t respond to his lawyers. Almost a year later, it seems this lawsuit is only just getting started. 17. Every time Mija puts out new music, we know we’re in for a real treat. As an artist/producer/singer Mija is constantly shifting, changing, and evolving in ways that can only be heard, not explained. Her latest body of work, Just Enough, represents her intentions behind the release. To give us just enough, but in doing so she somehow gives us more. “i wanted to create something that felt raw,” she explains. “something that wasn’t over-exaggerated, over-produced, or trying too hard…..but just enough.” Mija has a fascinating way of interweaving her house and techno background with a new wave of intricate sounds and expression. As she recites her own words and that of Mexican poet Jaime Sabines, her beats power forward and her whispers haunt for intense, dramatic results. But like we said, just listen and hear for yourself. 18. Justin Jay‘s marvelous 2017 album Home is totally reimagined nearly a year later with this diverse remix pack featuring Walker & Royce, Christian Martin, Will Clarke and more. Trading in VSTs for analog gear and basslines for strummed power chords turned out to be a great artistic decision for Justin Jay. With Home, the producer ventured into the vast world of live, electronic rock — and instead of dipping his toe to test the current waters, he dove in headfirst. Now, the timeless release infiltrates the dance realm thanks to remixes from some of the industries finest. Ricky Tinez, Houseboy, Pilo and more share their own cuts of Home. Fantastic Voyage bandmates Sam von Horn, Benny Bridges and Danny G also provide edits for the collection. The result is emotional, cohesive, and deeply ear-pleasing to say the least. It’s a common saying with remix packs — “there’s something for everyone.” But really, Jay’s personal soul, funk, and jazz roots come through as Home expands into lofi, house, techno, party tech and more. So yeah, there’s something for everyone. Enjoy! 19. Mickey Kojak has unleashed his most tripped-out production to date with “All That Acid.” The multifaceted producer originally set out to make a track that was “excessive, fun and easy to remember” — and this is what he came up with. A delightful, face-melting electronic anthem described as more of a shout-along than a sing-along. “All That Acid” colors outside the lines to deliver something fresh and exciting, but also familiar enough to get down to. The single is definitely reminiscent of the early rave scene. Perhaps it will even bring to mind some of the music that got you into dance music in the first place. Although this song centers around acid, Kojak pleads “don’t do drugs” to the new single. Furthermore, the press release states: Mickey Kojak does not endorse the consumption of lysergic acid diethylamide or any other hallucinogens, and by pressing play on “All That Acid”, you relieve him of all responsibility for any heinous activities or existential crises that may occur as a result of listening to this song. Please make sure to read the full disclaimer below.* Listen to Mickey Kojak’s new one here and hit the links to explore his diverse collection of music. Mickey Kojak – All That Acid *Mickey Kojak takes no responsibility for any “bad juju” that comes as a result of listening to this song. Examples of bad juju include but are not limited to: thinking the devil is bursting out of your knee caps, seeing an apparition of yourself who has come from the future to warn you of how you will die, thinking you might have pissed yourself but aren’t entirely sure because you’ve lost the concept of wet and dry and any anxiety that might ensue, having to deal with an actual situation with real humans that is so unfathomable that you’re almost certain it isn’t happening, delusions of being able to fly/read minds/become invisible, thinking everyone around you is a lizard, forgetting the English alphabet but being able to speak Italian perfectly etc. Follow Mickey Kojak SoundCloud | Spotify | Facebook | Instagram | Twitter This article was first published on Your EDM. 20. Alex Lustig follows up his dreamlike Wave002 EP with an unexpectedly heavy banger, “Dark.” The Belgian producer is known to keep his music on the chill side, but his capabilities go far beyond what we typically hear on his SoundCloud page. Behind the scenes, Lustig has worked with some of hip hop’s finest, including Young Thug, MGK, OVO’s Baka Not Nice and more. Now, we finally get to hear some of that style come through on his own release. “Dark” leans on those trap influences for a bold, striking production all its own. The track doesn’t go overboard with crazy theatrics, or exaggerated builds and drops. It centers around a beat that hits straight in your chest. “Dark” exists in a steady space that’s easy to take in and almost impossible to not repeat. “I’ve produced a lot of trap and hip hop for many artists before doing my own thing,” Lustig explains. “Always loved trap, thought it was time I dropped a banger.” DJ/producers out there will be happy to know this one is available for free download. 21. Bestival and Camp Bestival, two of Britain’s most renowned music festivals, are at risk of getting the axe — and ticket-holders fear they could soon be out of money spent on the events. High Court admin notices have reportedly been filed against the company, as initiated by British businessman and billionaire James Benamor. He single-handedly loaned Bestival £1.6 million last year, a figure which suggests one or both festivals are in serious financial trouble. Benamor has since taken control of at least some of Bestival’s assets. As of now, Camp Bestival still has plans to continue, though tickets are no longer available for purchase. Organizers released a statement saying next year’s tickets will remain valid. Furthermore, they said they have “no reason to believe Camp Bestival won’t go on as planned.” The event is already deep into the planning stages for 2019. The 2018 installment of Bestival saw tons of amazing acts, including M.I.A., Silk City (Diplo & Mark Ronson), Mura Masa, Camelphat, and many more. Since its establishment in 2004, the annual event has made quite an impact on the UK festival circuit, even winning “Best Major Festival” in 2015. The fate of Bestival has yet to be revealed. All music fans can do is hope for the best. Source: Metro.co.uk | Photo via Caitlin Mogridge This article was first published on Your EDM. 22. The collaboration between Marshmello and Bastille came as a shock to everyone, seeing as they came from two wildly different musical spaces. But when it comes to Marshmello, he’s consistently been bridging gaps between genres for the past couple years, so maybe it shouldn’t be that big of a surprise after all… not these days, anyway. Now, a month after the track was originally released and in the midst of a bevy of new music videos from ‘mello, the two present their new music video for “Happier,” a story of losing one of mankind’s best friends. Starring Miranda Cosgrove, the music video tells of a young woman growing up and dealing with the hardships that come along with it; at the same time, her beloved dog keeps her spirits up. That is, until… “When @bastilledan sent me Happier for the first time, I was taken back. The amount of emotion that you could feel in the lyrics was crazy. As I listened to the song more and more, it reminded me of so many things I’ve been through in my life. Toxic relationships, letting go of things I didn’t want to, and just situations where happiness came with a sacrifice. Recently I lost my best friend, my companion, and my life long friend. I wanted this video to embrace the pain that we feel losing or sacrificing something and the cycle of life that comes with it. I hope this song and video can bring closure in any situation you may be and make us all happier.” Be warned, you will almost certainly need tissues for your tears after watching this. 23. It’s no secret that Goshfather is one of my favorite producers these days, with his endlessly happy rhythms and classic disco and ’80s vibes in everything he touches. Whether it’s his originals or remixes, it seems like he can do no wrong. Now, he’s out with a remix that he’s called his “magnus opus” in talks with me, a cut of Lil Pump & Kanye West’s collaboration “I Love It.” The lyrics fit perfectly and Goshfather brightens up and revitalizes the mix to match his own unique vibe and it’s just so refreshing. It’s house, it’s bass, it’s fun and lively – it’s one of the reasons why I’ve absolutely fallen in love with Goshfather’s productions. Not only is there dance music appeal, but there’s so much room to play this at any occasion: birthday, wedding, Quinceañera, even a bar mitzvah. No matter where you listen to this, make sure to do it now! Check out Goshfather’s remix of “I Love It” below. This article was first published on Your EDM. 24. David Guetta flies high after the release of his new album 7, but he may have met his greatest foe yet. No, not Calvin Harris, not deadmau5, not Diplo and DJ Snake… Lil Roman. A little kid by the name of Lil Roman interviewed Guetta during Roman Kemp’s radio show on UK radio station 95-106 Capital FM. Kemp’s song pulled no punches, asking Guetta about his wealth and if he thought he was a better producer than Calvin Harris. Guetta took everything well in stride, saying he was lucky to have a passionate job that has made him a lot of money. He also said Harris was his favorite producer. Plus, Guetta even revealed some news: he has a remix of the Harris and Sam Smith collab “Promises” on the way, which should make up for Guetta’s annoyance that Harris collaborated with Smith before him. 25. Young Soundcloud rappers are always getting into the headlines for the strangest of reasons, but this one probably takes the cake, er… or cheetos, in this case. Lil Xan shared a picture of himself riding in an ambulance on the way to the hospital, which of course scared his followers, but not so much as it appeared he was at least still conscious. A little later, he went on IG Live to explain the photo. “Ya, I went to the hospital today. Getting ready to pack for this tour. I just want to let everybody know that I was in the hospital for not due to any drugs, but I guess I ate too many hot Cheetos,” he said while stifling a laugh, “and it ripped something in my stomach open a little bit and I puked a little blood. So we good.” I’m no nutritionist, but I’m willing to bet the amount of Hot Cheetos you’d have to eat to erode your stomach lining is way more than would be physically comfortable to eat. Perhaps there was some other reason his stomach lining was so weak? Who’s to say. Check it out below.
