there are a few clubs ive played at that support that set up candies, saphire, e11even, helm bar, collectors, establishment, i think its more about your ability to set up without the engineer loosing hes shit at you i was pretty much told never to touch the back of the mixer by alll night clubs to set up serato unless the manager/promoter or engineer was there. That was untill i learnt a technique that allows you to cut your serato set up time down to about 1min and you dont need to touch the back of the mixer at all heres the video for the technique- go to 1min30 in the vid

Ok I get ya now, but when using a dvs tractor serato you are essentialy turning your cdj in to a turntable, that's what they were designed for, but now with midi u can still keep the features of a cdj and the program your using its just up to the venue if u can screw around hookin up all the usbs

why wouldnt you use timecoded serato with cdj 2000?

I have recently found this tp be my weakness also so I emersed my self in you tube and old charts to find tracks that work also get track listing for rnb albums and cda find popular tracks and enjoy

Vdj really shouldnt be used outside of the bedroom it promotes lazyness in mixing basics and underminds the the hard work people put in to dj on vinyl cdj dvs etc. however im all for using the program to work on track selection and as an alternative for mobile djs doing long sets. I think its all about how u use it and not letting the automix feature misguide your learning curve

I just got home from a huge night played to a full house great crowd and even better ladies An interesting situation arised and I thought I'd see what the greater forum would do in the same situation So the club I was playing at usually has a shitty cdj 400 set up which is pretty sverage for a venue of its reputation. Upon entering the booth I saw that there were 2 cdj 2000 and a djm 900 in road cases left behind from the event thenight before. Without blinking I wiped out the high end gear and got my mix on and quiet enjoyed the upgrade So now the questin that is still playing in my head, is it ethical to use equipment that miight be left beind by another crew or production team. I'm nott talking bout personal equipment I mean rentals and even leased gear lighting even speakers Opinions?
