i had a behringer djx750 as my first mixer. Was alright to start on, but wasn't the best

you can, but from what i have gathered it's pretty hard to completely seperate both of them without impacting the other unless you ahve the right software and knowledge etc... your best bet is to download the instrumental and acapella seperatley. acapellas - http://www.acapellas4u.co.uk/ and just search for the instrumentals
