i wouldnt buy from the US man, 1 because it can be scammy, 2 it has to post all the way over here n could get damaged, 3 it will have no warranty because its from US, 4 it will have a different power lead the extra $100 or so from AUS would be worth the warranty and piece of mind alone

ive got 8" monitors, they seem to go good, with monitors if the company knows what they are doing they wont be to anything, not to high, not to much mids, not to much lows, just right & sometimes adding a sub can do more harm then good

you will need a soundcard players and mixer into soundcard into laptop out to speakers i think thats how it works....

pretty much what pulse said, but the ideal set up would be adding a konrtol x1 or something to conrtol the effects and other features as i dont think you could control that directly from the player (besides the players inbuild effects) i may be wrong though
