i always drop the music to half level real quick and yell "last half hour guys what do u wanna hear?" i no its a death sentence asking for requests but it keeps em happy for the last bit and they understand when u finish....

then im not sure mate, i have the same gear and just go straight from master out on the DJM to my microphone in slot on my laptop....the 1st thing i would be trying is a new lead im just running a standard RCA Cable (red n white audio, to single Aux Jack lead) you the same?

I found I had to have my gain n master volume a fair bit down for recording when I had it all at normal speaker volume it recorded to close to peaking n was distorting

I get that all the time, spesh friday n saturday night, im with telstra/bigpond we've asked them WTF is going on. they say "In High Nationwide use times, eg 7pm weeknights and friday n saturday night, there is alot of stress on our lines and the more demand there is the slower the internet becomes for everyone" i said bullshit you've got underground lines fatter then me, she searched and then tells me "your actually around 5km from the where your internet runs from, meaning the internet goes to 20,000 houses that are closer then you, then you get it" meaning i get the fucking scraps, Still fighting to get this shit fixed...sometimes its crazy good, sometimes its like dial up hope this helps
