? what is it? gets 850s instead of 900s Haha if your looking for used expect to wait a while, there is fuck all used, ive found probly 5 total in like 4 months lol, but yeh they are so close to the 900's yet so much cheaper yeh this is true, next to my djm800 they wont look as good as 900's would but if your gonna buy a mixer and CDJ's just get the silver DJM700 and your set up will look sweet

? what is it?

dude if your just starting out i suggest you dont fork out the big $ for 2000's or 900's, we see way to many people spend shit loads of money just to give it up in a couple of weeks lol i suggest you listen to what SourceRaver said above me, the 850's are great decks and im actually buying some myself , they are just like the 900's minus a couple of features, those features are, series link between players, slip mode, qauntized loops and thats pretty much it,for me thats shit i dont want or wont use, is that worth the extra $500 per deck? i dont think so.... all in all i say you check them out

learning an instrument before taking up DJing/Producing will only help mixing a little bit, but as for producing it can help alot 1st off mixing, it can help you learn song structure, learning piano or guitar for example you learn that songs usually go in 4,8 and 16 bars so without even hearing a song you can usually predict when a chorus is due to start or when a build is about to hit its peak/drop...for instance i learned violin when i was a little fella in primary school n that taught me a little song structure but mainly how to read music...then i learned guitar all threw high school n that helped the most now as for producing, that is kinda self explanitory, almost all serious producers will have a keyboard of some sort so if you know how to play the piano that will obviously help alot, the same with any other instrument i guess, for example if you can play the chello and want it in your song then u can record it via mike rather then using a plug in instrument in something like ableton... some of my examples are a little dodgey but you should get the idea, it all helps a little bit depending on how you apply it

hmm try giving it a bath.... haha nah but in all seriousness it might be due for a service then man, could be the laser reader or something not reading the discs properly... is it just on the 1 deck not both? (im guessing you have a pair of the same decks?)

ive got a $30 1 from BigW, holds 200+, pretty happy with it, chuck it around n shit fairly often n it still looks new so meh it'll do me
-
hmm sounds odd, the best thing to try would be to lower the burning speed, i burn mine on x4 which isnt fast but gives me piece of mind.... because if its only just started doing it since you've up the burning speed to max that would be my 1st guess that thats your problem...

what you have sounds fine man, the strobe may be a little small for a large venue and might not strobe the whole space but other then that you seem to have enough man if you want to add anything maybe a UV light, kids love when white shit glows
-
This isn't uncommon for mobile DJ's man, they just want music, don't care about mixing
-
Approach the school to speak with who ever organises the events, my best guess would be 1 of the music, drama, or dance teachers and I wouldn't worry about under cutting anyone man, it's high school, how many DJ's are there in high school?

Just want some opinions.... ok seeing as StoreDJ is rapeing my ass right now i think im just gonna get a refund on the Behringer B212D's i bought and get some cheapy speakers instead seeing as i dont wanna spend shit loads so simply This (cheaper and bigger) http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... K:MEWAX:IT Vs this (smaller, probably better quality,i can get 2 for $500 but its still more expensive) https://www.storedj.com.au/products/BEH-B212D Vs this (Same size as behringer speaker, cheap, have owned 1 before, goes surprisingly hard for its price, pretty heavy for its size which matter as it has to sit on a home made shelf with brackets lol) http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 580wt_1139 What you recon?
-
ill consider it will put it threw something other then my laptop speakers n see if it was just them lol
-
thats like saying you cant rock CD's if you dont use a cdj1000 as it was the 1st industry standard CD turntable lol
-
you all just want to go to Thailand for the ladyboys
-
sounds pretty decent man, id say the vocals need something more, i dunno if you've got a highpass filter on them but they need some depth and maybe a little more volume.... other then the breakdown at 3:04 i like the song and i would ask for a download to play it

Get me some 850's foe!!!!! How long is your mate moving over sea's for? If it's a while then there's no point in keeping them
-
lol im not having this rediculous argument with you, the simple fact is, the pulsar and the silvia both have turbo and non turbo versions, hence the both have the same engine's.... /pointless discussion
-
No your Pulsar has a SR20DE, not a SR20DET. Wrong again http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_SR20DET So the T stands for turbo...and seeing as most silvia's dont even have a turbo then yeh they would have the standard sr20...
