Cleaning/removing small scracthes from decks

hi all

i was wondering what people use to clean off there gear just a dry cloth or is there other options?

also my decks have some very light scratches around the edjes of the platter, is there anyway to remove these ?

are u only cleaning dust off? or spilt drinks and shit

dust and shit is easy, just a cloth, if its something sticky then you can use electronics spray, failing that use reading glasses cleaning spray as its almost the same shit

microfibre cloths work the best

ok cool thanks guys yeah its just dust n stuff no sticky liquid or anything, was wondering if anyone used some kind of liquid so thanks jaz, have u guys had any experience with removing small scratches cos most standard methods seem they will be abit risky on a cdj

scratches are hard bro

you normally need to fill them and sand down

best way of removing scratches on electronic shit is ignoring them

if its on a metal surface you maybe can polish it? but yeh scratches are usually there to stay dude

scratches are there to remind you to look after your decks better. I'm not taking the piss, I've got loads of dints and scratches from packing away the kit while drunk

i use the kind of anti static duster you would use on a computer keyboard to clean all my electrical equipment. If you wipe with a cloth you can end up pushing all the dust down cracks, eg into faders on mixers and round the edge of the platter on decks.

Air compressors Ive heard are bad as it's something to do with fine water particles in the air that it produces. id steer clear of using one
