eggssell Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 film it!im being cereal. ive listened to heaps of mixes but still can't pick how to bring it in.ive seen heaps of old school stuff like on that ztrip tute, but old school hip hop is minimal (beats and bass only).even when ive tried to get hip hop all in a small range of bpm (which is extremely limiting) like say 85-90, i still find it hard to transition even if beatmatched. there is just too much going on (synths, claps, ooohs, cymbal crashes) and/ or vocals begin from beat 1 and/ or vocals don't start at the start of the phrase (i.e. mumble at about beat -3 so when you bring it in it sounds like it was cutoff) and whatever else.i mean drum the beat-cut i've got, but cant really do that all night. and i know people be mixing shit in. and i know i can find all the songs with good intros, but i dont really like being limited like that.anyways yes please help!!!
