  1. I tried CDs for one day, i reckon i spent half a day just burning CDs to take to a gig for one night. And that was doing 8 tracks per CD. USBs, just keep your itunes up to date, then plug your usbs in, analyse tracks in recordbox and copy across. Much quicker for batch processing, can have playlists, view by artist, album, track, key, even search. USB is the way to go on recordbox compatible players
  2. Sol hasnt (wait, legally shouldnt have) hit any clubs. Tt's are still around, just less people using them, so you wouldn't see them as much.
  3. There will be a keylock button in vdj which keeps the pitch the same while adjusting the tempo
  4. I'm keen for a house/electro style mix, although There is only 10 mix spots so I might sit back on this one, as there is better talent to be showcased on here
  5. Sup bro
  6. I like this idea, with the person who does the last one nominating the next person. if you leave it to VIP it's too many people to decide who does it, having the last person choose makes it easier to manage
  7. This sounds like a great idea, The other week I even had a thought of making a mix with exclusively tracks made by forum members, not sure how that would tie in here though?
  8. Have you ever used a comp with a SSD in it?
  9. i still can't get it to load
  10. You would think Its likely they will have a dubstep stage/tent where all the dubstep acts will be on
  11. always quality from you, really digging the sound. Shared on facebook
  12. ^What the above two said - you have to be professional about the way you approach the clients. If your prices are too cheap they will think you aren't very good, so you can't undersell yourself. Also be professional: the way you speak on the phone, take bookings, take deposits etc. as people will take you more seriously that way. If you approach it like this, people will pay you more and be happier with the whole experience.
  13. Why not spread the love and use more ADJF unsigned producers tracks?
  14. 2nd Announcement: Friendly Fires Gym Class Heroes Mark Ronson vs Zane Lowe Professor Green Knife Party Dubfire John O'callaghan Flux Pavilion Oliver Huntemann Orjan Nilsen Porter Robinson Kill The Noise Ruby Rose Tydi Timmy Trumpet This lineup just got better
  15. Welcome bro
  16. Yea, if your playing at a venue and bringing all your own equip $350 sounds decent. In comparison, im getting paid $200 to play at a place for a similar amount of time, they supply speakers, i supply decks. so you should be charging a decent bit more than that to cover the extra equip you have to take, and the extra time you spend setting up/packing up.
  17. ^pretty sick track, might buy that. Cheers for sharing
  18. nice one jonny
  19. Doesn't surprise me. Their forums are overpopulated with noobs and arrogant people. Good to hear its not troubling you anymore though
  20. Did an 18th tonight, was pretty crap. Alot of people didn't turn up, and it was a big venue so it felt like hardly anyone was there, Probly 30-40 people, with half been family. Had a few dancing, but then the birthday girls boyfriend was been a cockhead and there was a fight and birthday girl started crying, so then everyone left real early, was all finished up by 12. They were happy enough with the music though, sucks it had to end early like that though, if people actually turned up it was a real good venue and setup.
  21. Haven't listened to the whole thing yet, but some pretty funky and disco type house tracks on there It was feature album on the j's the other week, thats where I heard most of it
  22. There is another thread on this somewhere lol
  23. Beni - House of Beni Kaskade - Fire & Ice
  24. Nice one jaz. Thought you had xd's though?
