Would be luscious Watching the sun go down at cafe mambo or cafe del mar in Ibiza is one of the most amazing experiences of life. These places are playing your usual kind of trip-hop/chill out beats during the day then it gets all ambient when the sun gets close to the horizon.... Masses of people just sit in a collective silence and watch the sun drop int the sea. Once it's gone... party time.

i don't mean to be funny here but if your struggling with song selection and by the sounds of it are a complete beginner at mixing in general I don't know how you expect to get any work..... decide what you want to play, start collecting, practice mixing, get it down then start putting out mix promo's.

got that dubstation along with a few other of their VST's. Only had a quick play around with the dubstation last night and it's sounding pretty sweet. exactly what I was looking for. Day off tomorrow to get stuck into some serious production tings.

That's one of my pet hates. There's no need to have the levels in the red at all. Once it hits the red that's when the signal starts to distort. This is a very basic thing that unfortunately few too little people actually understand.

surely if your in the booth you can turn the monitors down so they're not blasting in your ears all night? ANd when your out of the booth.. wear them.

Don't wear them when you DJ'ing. They're mainly for when your not actually DJ'ing to save your ears in a club environment. Although i would assume you'd still be able to hear your headphones as they just reduce everything. It's all relative.

only thing I've ever really paid any attention to was the 'maneater' instrumental. 2manyDJ's dropped it in the Slam Tent at T in The Park years ago. Sounded pretty awesome on a big system and also worked nicely with Zombie Nation - Kernkraft 400 which they dropped after NF. One of those moments that stands out from the million other moments.
