^^ always a winner. Nothing beats the original. Got the 7" in the house
-
^^ thats assuming the mixer has the functionality to split the headphones of course.
-
Generally you want to train your ears to listen to two things at the same time. It's fine getting your tunes matched in your headphones but you should be monitoring the incoming track to ensure it's not running out of time. That will be a lot harder if the only way you've learned to beatmatch is by playing both tracks in your headphones.

Seeing as a reissue of this has been released it's my TOTD
-
Speaking of Larry Heard you should check out the new remix package of Tom Trago - Iris ep Not too keen on the Kink peaktime mix on there but Larry Heard and Linkwoods stuff are awesome.

That kind of thing is everything that's wrong with the world of DJ'ing. This is gonna be full of cants that just decided yeah I should be a DJ for no fucking reason.... being a DJ is a side product to being a music junkie but with all this pish going on whales just think they can become DJ's cos it's cool. Fuck all cool about it. Especially when your music collection is probably fuck all and whatever you do have is bought from itunes from a top 100 list. fuck that.... /rant

Does that mean even if you play a 320kbs mp3, it only comes out at 192kbs? or are they different things all together? for a start one is the sampling rate that audio is produced at (kHz) and the other is the bit depth an mp3 is saved at (kbs)

Sol, with the wonders of the internet why didn't you just use a pic of a DJM 700?
-
B section up now... http://thespace.org/content/s000004u/al ... l?letter=B
-
the 700 will have a dial for each side of the cross fader that allows you to set it to any channel or like Defkon says, the 'thru' setting. stick it to that and the cross fader is essentially turned off.
-
what kind of mixer is it? should be able to switch the crossfader off.
-
they look dope. good work.
-
That would be a horrible feeling when he realised that... probably a good idea to phone guinness up and ask them the current records before starting though.
-
Yes, See/anal/litoris this. anal is what sticks out the most in that name.
-
Can't say I think much of the new name... i actually agree with Sol on this one. Andyman woulda done.

Puts compression into simple terms. useful if your just starting out with production. It uses useful diagrams and sound clips so it's not gonna copy and past over here i'm afraid. http://www.residentadvisor.net/feature.aspx?1595
