  1. I will be arriving back in Perth around the time this is planned i think. Won't be able to come out right enough... i'll keep my eye out for the next one.
  2. Welcome
  3. jagermeister helps that... glad it went well. The first is always the most nerve shredding.
  4. you mean that where the money's at. Yes and no, just because you produce doesn't mean you can or want to perform as well. But once you get popular like Porter did, people want to see him perform and go crazy to his shit in a club or festival whatever. On the same hand if your a producer and you don't wanna DJ but there's a demand for you to appear in clubs then you just play live. You don't have to DJ. That brings in the dollars too. There is no money in producing really unless you are making commercial stuff that takes off, but in the underground scene, there's no money in just releasing records.
  5. you mean that where the money's at.
  6. I know the value of my 1210's has certainly dropped... they've seen lot of action. They work perfectly but not so perfect on the cosmetic front. Reckon I'll upgrade to a set of MK5's or something soon.
  7. Can't wait to get my hands on a copy of this.... http://soundcloud.com/delsinrecords/claro-intelecto-reform-club
  8. Been getting this error message on a few occasions recently.
  9. Any comments, feedback welcome. http://soundcloud.com/russellventilla/russell-ventilla-introvert
  10. give it till 53 secs...
  11. I got into Jungle around '95 when I used to listen to Fabio & Grooveriders 'one in the jungle' show on Radio 1. Still lover a bit of Jungle no and again.
  12. Well if Serato is involved you're most likely going to be in a DJ situation. Otherwise you wouldn't really need serato is your playing a 'live' set. Sorry... 'performing' a live set. Can't say i know or care what Deadmau5 or Skrillex use for their live show but Daft Punk aren't just sitting there with a laptop and ableton. They have synced purpose built laptops running ableton along with 4 Minimoog Voyager RMEs, 2 Behringer BCR2000s & 2 Stantum Lemurs for their live shows.
  13. yeah it's probably a good idea to know what it's called at least before you try to use it.
  14. I haven't had the capacity (other than my macbook) to play CD's for the least 4 or 5 years. Can't even remember the last time I bought a CD. I've burned a few CD's using my macbook but other than that I never use it. Handy to have one right enough.
  15. I love tech house but not playing any gigs anymore so doubt i'd get on that shit.
  16. I done this with Ableton about 5 or 6 years ago. Sacked it and used reason. However, I started using Abelton just over a year ago and it's a piece of piss to use if you just look up how to do it or have someone to show you the basics.
  17. turntable weight. Basically hold the record in the platter better. MAkes for easier tracking, less skipping and is said to improve sound quality.

  19. what up yo?
  20. I'm sorry but i'm not too sure what your trying to do. I'm assuming you have multiple audio channels with whatever tracks your using for your mashup. So you shouldn't have to consolidate anything. Once you have them arranged you should just export audio and you'd have your track.
  21. you know I never noticed this when I replied. This time I spied it and you have already mentioned it.
  22. watch this then the following videos
  23. Then what are they? Only time they'd be anything different is if they were playing a live set. i.e.. not playing anyone else's tunes, just there own.
  24. Losing audio quality shouldn't be an issue. What kind of samples are you talking about?
  25. resident advisor, djhistory + generally just fishing through label sites or whatever. twitter is good for news from labels etc too.
