So got a cheap used mobo and cpu off a mate for 20 who runs a pc shop. Plugged it all in and get the exact same result, still no signal, no error beeps. Just tried the other psu and exactly the same again. Seriously stuffed for ideas now. Going to bread board the old mobo now see how that goes.

Man heaps of time, if you ring up earlier you might be able to snag them for a cheaper price for both nights. If the order is over $100 you can get free pickup and delivery too.

If you get them on Sat you can bring them back monday at no extra charge, otherwise yeah it will be two days worth, sometimes you can bargain a cheaper price but this time of year they usually completely book out. I advise ringing up or doing online a few days before. They are in leichhardt on parramatta road, Lightsounds might be closer for you but i dont really rate them.

You can get away with the odd swear ive done it by accident when you cant even remember what songs have swearing, stay away from the lil waynes, lil jons etc as they are going to be profanity ridden and lack musical quality anyway.

Haha no issues dude, we have all been there and you won't learn if you don't ask. I would go active man, quicker and easier to set up. Still think hiring is the better option until you are sure you want stick with djing and mobile work.

Can you get away with doing some subjects that have nothing to do with your course or majors haha Would love to do a couple of production subjects.

dont do it lol, Mitch or someone else will be able to give you some more solid advice but generally car equipment and especially subs will run at a lower ohm, therefore potential to blow it. Are you considering just using this and some other speakers, or what is your plan? Highly recommend just hiring two 12 or 15 inch JBL's from Dj Warehouse or similar, you wont need the sub dude. These speakers will be powered so you wont even need the amp, all hired speakers are already power by internal amps generally.

No swearing, commercial and oldies/classics will be a must i think. Sadly i dare say you will be providing background music for an event like this, still potential to pick up other gigs and contacts if you play some cool music though.
