  1. The big top is a quality venue
  2. Sometimes even the refresh wont work, you will have to delete the tracks from a given library traktor/rekordbox etc and re add them. The process should always be MIK and then put into a program. Also i haven't herd of anyone using mashup.
  3. What about aria top 10 club chart? Open to any remix. http://www.ariacharts.com.au/chart/club-tracks/1010
  4. Electro top 10? Have to use half or something
  5. Yeah man was thinking something like this, i quite like the beatport based ones where we say ok do the top 10 dubstep tracks for example. yer but i dont want all the mix to be using the same tracks The only reason i like everyone doing the same tracks is that it makes it a more level playing field. But yeah dont really care tbh. but track selection is key to a good mix. True true, just makes it easier to judge having some form of standardization. What genre are we thinking? For ease to judge and make im going to suggest 20/30 minute sets.
  6. Alot of them are built on hype more than substance. There are certainly some i will be adding to the clubbing bucket list though.

  8. the overt homosexual...? hahaha
  9. Dont think linking itm is appreciated on here man
  10. since when do DJ's need to line up at the bar? When they're not DJing Derp, you get people to bring drinks to the booth for you Thats what promoters are for
  11. FUCK YES STAFFORD BROTHERS Looks like a good gig though dude

  13. Mr Dj social app's revivals prompted me to see if anyone is interested in a battle? Noticed a thread about things to get some more interest/practice in djing, i'm a bit flat myself lately so any ideas for a battle we could do? Happy to help run it if need be as well.
  14. Fuck thats pretty cool with the visual stuff, my only suggestion is that running all that might be a bit much for a dj comp, whereas cdjs will be easy to just jump on do your thing etc. Music sounds fine too.
  15. Hallo m8
  16. Too easy to overthibk a name haha
  17. Hey so, do you use just a normal set up or 4decks and 2 mixers? And yeah so we where thinking maybe doing 2 or 1 song each and while the other one mixes in the other does effects etc , is that how you guys do it? Yeah thats it man, nah just use a normal setup we have to use whatever the clubs have. Obviously three decks does help alot though
  18. I will be there, also not sure what you mean. Why is he touring? He isnt playing the whole night btw, he's playing 1.30 - 3.30.
  19. on about? Around the World Da Funk Revolution 909 Indo Silver Club Rollin' and Scratchin' Phoenix Burnin' Heard them all in clubs and all very danceable. This ^ The new album is heaps further away from dance than homework.
  20. I play in a duo, we generally do 2 tracks and swap. For bigger gigs we go 1 for 1 and both smash the effects etc. Communication is the key!
  21. Yeah that's a different way to do it. I'm trialling organisation with a lot of sub genres.
  22. Interference an delay should be fine seeings you arent running a massive system. It's always hard to gauge but certainly better to have more than not enough, will depend on the brand and quality of your speakers too.
  23. After using it in the labs its not terrible tbh. No real desire to rush out and upgrade though.
  24. i started doing cue points in rekordbox, find it a bit easier and quicker as opposed to doing them on the decks
