i highly doubt the tempo is changing. it will be transients on the kick drum. basically u gotta make sure getting it right on the beat. so try and match it to something that isnt changing like the hats or wateva else is in that band

^nope If you want monitors, buy monitors. But I'm not really convinced on using monitors for DJing, it's not really neccesary. Are you gunna use them for production? I would get some Behringer truths, so you can use them for DJing and if you kill them, it's not the end of the world. I saw Sean Tyas using them as monitors, so thats something, listen to his tracks, they obviously don't inhibit him. PA speakers aren't good for use in a small room.

for the same price the technics and A&H cans would not do that^
