  6. I am selling my a10 soundcard and software I have some lightly used control vinyl and CDs plus a mint set of vinyl happy to ship to Adjf user or met up in Melb. price firm $375.
  7. Pop music has always been made by producers is Billie Jean any less of a tune because Quincey Jones produced no it's a collaboration. Ok Justin Bieber is a fucktard but he is part of pop music making machine and those other pop edm artist making money out of it are also part of the machine (hell if I had those skills and somebody paid me to do it I would) just don't listen to it make your own music and listen to inderpendent dance music there is plenty for everybody. Are you trying to tell Deadmau5 has never done anything for purely money
  8. https://soundcloud.com/slinkydisc/giant-slinky Ok this is a bit a different to what is normally posted on ADJF but I met a English multi-instrumentalist Jon Smith of Giant Giant and we had a crack at writing a snog together with my drones and production and his music writing and playing skills. We are looking to write some more music in the future with his better half who is a an accomplished drummer singer. Let me know what you think.
  9. https://www.mixcloud.com/SlinkyCee/emo-electro/ Just some AB mixing down on Abelton of my favourite chilled Electro tunes.
  10. Are you talking about lyrics or vocal's in a song think of classic house like Your love Jamie Principle's lyrics are pretty lame but the delivery is perfect. Then you have songs like the great gig in the sky by Pink Floyd which have no lyrics but are greatly improved by vocalisation in the same way that a good extreme metal track can be driven by an unintelligible vocal part.
  11. Did not buy it as it was a present but wify got us two tickets for the new star wars on opening night.
  12. https://soundcloud.com/chris_carter I just found this on soundcloud I had no idea Chris was still making music but their is some awesome music on here. If the name does not ring a bell he was the main noise maker in the early industrial group Throbbing Gristle.
  13. http://youtu.be/TK1P93r9xes This is a good one about synth pop.

  18. http://factorysound.com/products/zed18 I would have thought something like this with decent mic pre amps and the ability to monitor your sources and cue sources separately from the actual program your recording would be what you want. In a real station you would have a custom desk that cues and plays your audio directly from the mixer and you can cue you next track up over the monitor speakers or head phones. When your talking on air you listen and mix your program over your headphones to stop feedback etc. I would use a mixer like this as a master mixer to control mic and overall levels with a separate dj mixer routed through one of the stereo channels. I use to dj on pbs and having a separate dj on decks and a dj mixer worked well as true radio desks are only good for a/b mixing and let's the presenter concentrate on the overall show with the dj using familiar equipment.
  19. How I broke the input switches on my first mixer.

  21. Yep she has a wicked sound I found this through moog they are using her to showcase the new semi modular synth. I like it because it not just plinky plok music which most people seem to make with modular synths, it seems to be mostly guys geeking out about the gear and forgetting to create.

  23. Awesome idea
  24. Two reason's I have just put a pre-order in for a moog mother 32 and I was just sampling loops off it in the end rather than using it like a traditional drum machine. I can get those classic sounds from anywhere there was no need to have it in hardware form but you have to try these things. I think they missed a trick when they made it just roland sounds if you could load up any sounds into it would have been more versatile having the classic tr programming style mixed with unique sounds it would awesome like you can do with some of the early casio drum machines. A lot of those classic tr sounds only work in (for me) the context of straight up dance music I am finding my humble volca beats is siting better in the mix of the ambient tracks I making.
