I think the point is that people think your shit is epic if you have loads of followers, which prompts them to also follow. Then you build a fan base of bots and real people with actual interest. The only issue here if it we're talking facebook, 8-12% of your fanbase sees anything you ever post, meaning 50-90% of those could be the bots So you are essentially reaching around 1-5% of your real, legitimately interested fan base, and it decreases the more fake likes you have. Pretty sure for the bigtime cunts it makes no difference, it's just some shit decision by their social networking managers division staff
