haha. yeah I left my safety pins at home that night so thats why they're on an angle!
-
A lighing setup from a coupla weeks back - i know the cables are ugly but was very short of time to set it up! Action shot is only of half the lights on.
-
Think altronics have them, they're in perth/melb/sydney though. I have two that i'm trying to sell but I want to sell them as a pair so if you're interested...
-
Whenever you put speakerson stands you'll lose a he's of bass. Got something to do with low frequency resonance.
-
Yeah, i think speaker and lighting stands have different size rods. However, they're not universal - i bought a pair for the brand "biema" that are wobbly when they go in to my subs
-
Best of luck for the first gig! Glad it's all working well.
-
bought the g73 yesterday. free razor mouse, headset and backpack!
-
Seems to be connected alright, the subs will always need to be turned up much more than the high level speakers. I am assuming you're turning it up as loud as you can until the amplifier's clip limiter light comes on? With regards to the speaker plugs, can you pull the plugs out of the end of the terminals on the amp and put banana plugs in?

dno just heard a rumor. i hope it does, i love the other two
-
that asus one above is actually faster than the hp envy 17 and almost every alienware dell...
-
aparrenty 28 months later is coming out sometime this year?
-
Yeah. I know there is one program that is mac only (ableton?) but the rest is multi-platform. And dennis, intel being the darkside? I think you are mistaken with amd/ati...
-
Yeah according to staticice, ple has it cheapest. Also, i'm kind of turned off by austin's poor service (friends have had very bad experiences) as well as credit card levies.
-
Yeah. I use macs at uni for video editing, powerful but i'm just not that used to using them for other things. Used to PCs so that's why I'm leaning that way.
-
For the cost of these units (1k plus for a decent one) it's just not worth buying it hey

Dennis if you're going to say things like that, can you elaborate more rather than making threats? Otherwise newbies might not take it very seriously.

i know this is a while ago, but I did own those audioline ones once and i don't know of a way they can timecode in to vdj, without a serato box, which if you were buying (around $1k i think?) you'd just use serato anyway?

Yeah i don't know the site for sure, i was just putting a warning up here to make sure anyone new to the industry doesn't get jipped!
-
I couldn't find the thread where we were talking about buying mp3s off legit sites, so I thought i'd post it here. I'm not trying to become a big warning-you're-breaking-the-law head but this really concerned me. On Saturday night at a gig a lady came up to me and suggested I buy my music off some "mp3Z.ru" website (or similar) because the songs are only 19 cents a track or $1 for an album and it's "totally legitimate because you are paying for it". I warn you. It's not. These companies have not actually paid for distribution rights to the music and so if you buy it from anything around that price, the money you pay is going to some seedy old man, not to the artists of the songs, or the record companies, or anyone involved in making the music. Don't fall down the trap of "i paid for it so it must be legal". Sorry for the rant I just wouldn't want anyone to get caught out! Refer to the list that has been posted here previously (cupe could you link it please?) for legit music sites that we recommend.

1200 venues? are there that many venues in Perth? I figure it's just a matter of time until some kid passes out from a strobe light and his lawyer mummy and daddy crack shits at me. better to be safe than sorry.
-
yeah i'd need something with an amp and battery built in to it. that's how the wireless ones come i think
-
Getting more and more requests from clients to help out at the wedding ceremony as well, sometimes in areas without access to power. Wondering if anyone can recommend a wireless (battery powered) speaker, or a wireless UHF microphone reciever, and/or similar.

The lady that organised mine was katie I think, she was very thorough, you may wish to ask for her.
