i love the intro man, and while i really liked the drop at 1.20, i probably would have preferred it to be one phrase and then back to the sounds of the intro, or like at 4.40. but maybe cuz thats more my sounds. either way awesome percussion on this track. and i like the use of the sped up vocals. im sure ill DL and end up loving it even more. i always look back at my early comments on chev and jonny's dubstep tracks where i thought they were just aiight. but now tracks from chev's after dark ep, and swiss' cokeface are some of my fave -
oh yeah... this track is massive. i love the swinging feel, yet slashing feel of the main sound running thru it. and good fitting of the vocals. and always love lasers

i know im a bit late for the bonz train, but this is awesome mann. really old school feel on the vocal sample. gonna go raid your soundcloud now, but i see all the buzz.

What Musical Experience Experience Do You Have?
eggssell replied to Mitch's topic in DJ Headquarters
i learnt guitar with a beatles chord book, a guitar chord wall sheet, and my old mans beatles collection. sometimes i would just use major chords to replace some of the more difficult 7 chords. it was good because thye repeated a lot of chords in songs just changed progression. only real formal training was at uni i joined alunch time guitar group for about six weeks. was real informal with one tutor, and everyone just pretty much asking whatever they wanted. he taught me blackbird by the beatles which is beautiful. and help me get up my speed for satriani always with you, always with me. i also learnt blue moon, the main intro for lean on me, and some debbie gibson song on piano by watching other people im also pretty good on drums on guitar hero WT -
tracks aiight, i dont think its great though. definitely not one of my faves on that album (though im not big on jayz to begin with). as to whats the best hip hop club track, something poppy with an rnb hook im sure. no hating, i just dont really know the tracks. the gauge is usually how much people hate on the internet is a good sign the track is going good, so im assuming pitbull, lmfao, black eyed peas and that G6 song were pretty big in the clubs this year. if you talking best hip hop track for the year then thats a different story.. this year has ben stellar

yeah dropped on the 20th. still havent got my ass around to getting it. a few big albums dropped this month. new roots, new common, new kidz in the hall. isnt there meant to be new hilltop too
-
Sweet jonny, sounds like another good'un

hey sol. maybe play for a few more months then decide. after 2 months of having the gear, my missus at the time bought me an mpd because i thought i could map it for this that and the other. sad to say it now gathers dust because in the end i didnt use anything that couldnt be mapped to a hot key. if you decide with having a controller, and all you need is buttons then yeah dicers, or even a lpd8. but cereally i suggest aiting at least 3 months where you are playing heaps.
-
yeah i play in standard too. anyways nice setup mate.

welcome eh i worked in canadia for about six months. in van though. but did the gtrek from niagra up to quebec via everything between. nice place.

Hey sol why exactly would a mac make it better when using timecode? Im using a six year old 2.3 ghz dual core PC and it works perfectly. So if i buy a mac there will be an improvement? Now for a real question, i know a lot of peeps talk about cpu hogging, spiking, but as long as sounds are coming good and latency not noticeable why is this an issue? Ive always wondered this. I mean if traktor was the only thing your using while djing what does it matter if it takes up all the power? Always wondered this. Is it fear of crashing?
-
hey mayne i read about half of it but then figured better just pass it on as not sure what setup you have. but have a read, you may be having same issue http://www.native-instruments.com/forum ... p?t=119389

i go to a lot of pubs and bars and yeah you seem to have it right. +1 to andy's make sure there is cheese up to 9. definitely include the jacksons or 80's michael jackson in your disco set also maybe switch up your 10.30 electro/ club hits and the 10 oclock prog house. because your disco set (if you add cheese) will get people bopping, and anyone still kicking (drunken) by the time you put on more club sounds will be hands in the air even if they dont know the tracks.

Thats what im saying mann. You could save for the next six to eight months and drive yerself crazy. Or just buy it, feel good for a little bit of cash. Now jaz's equation is true from a dollar for dollar way of thinking. But what about the price of happiness. Even if you cheapen it to a dollar for each hour of happiness, you may end up on top despite paying interest. Anyways im not saying its for everyone, and of course you need to make sure the maths add up and you not paying too much fees and interest. But yeah i paid interest for almost two years, minimal for about 14 months, top rate (16%) for about 10 months (but the lower end of the date). But the use ive had out of it, not just for djing but listening to my rekkids, or providing music to all my house parties, easily outweighed the interest. And i didnt need to go thru six or eight months of being a tight prick saving up! I just lived my normal life albeit with one additional debt to pay off.

Oh and luis have you got the latest patch i heard it gave some people audio problems its you avatar awesome people forget you typed something
-
Anyways other than ranting i looked it up for you, even though i know you now considering second hand Not sure how long you can have the repayments for. But say its two years Youll pay 340.20 in account fees. Being 125 up front, 2.90 per month, and 2.80 per fortnightly payment. On a base amount of 2,361.75 (which is the amount after the deposit), doesnt sound that much cheaper than a standard credit card
-
I agree cash is better, but i still think its a pro and cons thang. If you only going to be paying 4% per annum interest on a 3 k purchase. If you were to pay nothing (which you cant be) thats 120 bucks interest per year tops!!! If you value enjoyment less than 100+ bucks then yeah not worth it. But if you like enjoyment, then yeah pay the 100+ bucks. Which will get smaller the more you pay. Thats the way ive always seen it. I still remember ten years ago puting a japan trip with all the holmies on credit. I had a few mates that skipped it because of their adversity to credit. To this day they regret it because it was a trip of a lifetime. And while a few years later we prob all had the cash to do the trip again, the time had passed Of course it means you need access to credit. My two cents anyways about to credit or not to credit

Anychance of recording and then posting here so we know the kind of distortion? Some other thangs that come to mind, too low a latency which gives pops and clicks; conflicting peripherals which gives pops and clicks; ground loop hum.
