I think the guys using time code may panic a little but I've heard you can use the time code file on USB and it work just fine. Can anyone confirm that?

I think my local store has the 850's for 1k and the 900's for 1,1. I can't see them dropping in price so I reckon you'll have to pull a name out of a hat with this

Do those speakers have a sub? If they do, plug the speakers into the sub and try then. Those speakers are powered by the sub so you'll need that

Rates vary a lot with corporate djs. When I was doing it I was possibly the cheapest DJ in Australia, I'd only charge $100 an hour. I realised quickly I was screwing myself so I quit lol Based on my knowledge… Average, cheapish rate seems to be $1,200 at the moment (in Western Australia). The average rate over all seems to be about $2,000 for a gig. I know people who charge up to $4,000 which I see as ridiculous. If you plan on looking into an agency to get work, make sure you take a fair cut and they don't try pay you $70 an hour to do it

The price seems ok. Hopefully it's the same by the time it hits Aussie shores

it's an interesting one. one genre can really bog you down i guess. i stopped djing and producing a little while ago because i got really bored of playing electro. everything to me started to sound like shit and it was hard to stay motivated. i played drum n bass on the side but i never pushed to get any dnb gigs coz it was just something i did at home, but got bored of that too (my own fault for not giving it a go). I'd suggest to definitely dig for other genres and experience different sounds. music, especially all genres of EDM, can become VERY monotonous. head out and meet different people at different venues and look at the different culture that particular sound may attract.

Yeah I've seen that with all the cdjs. You gotta download the map from pioneer for it to work

i think the 400's/350's are native with Serato so there should be no issue plugging straight into that

hey guys, I've heard a few bad things about the cdj400's. no one seems to like them which means it could be a win for me. I want some CDJ's at home but I'm trying to avoid buying the "higher end" CDJ's, coz they're dumbly expensive (I don't even know if I can get them cheap, cheap either). i've seen a pair of 400's pop up real cheap. I know i can use them via HID with Traktor and with Serato so i just wanna know if they're worth buying

Sabotage I say. Keep your eyes open. Once the DJ before you finishes he doesn't really give a shit. Seems a bit rough but it's sadly true
