not bought any gear for a couple of years, next will probably be a third turntable, AA HTD4.5 or something you can pick up for $150
-
those just turn it on for the channels selected, it performs the start function when you have that on and you open a fader. it can be a little fun when you have it on the cross fader, as it takes the track to the cue point and starts again when you re-open it, so like a hot cue tied to the fader.
-
Fader start isn't a button though. When you open a fader it starts the cdj playing. Since that channel is lice then you have to be really sure it's in time I had it on my old mixer, djm3000, only really used it to try it, never found a use for it

Yep. In the setup thread

Xone 4d

I often use 3 channels, whether 2 tuntables and one midi or all inside traktor. most often it's looping a beat over a transition or the like. Also having the same track on 2 or 3 decks to mess with a familiar track Beatmatching it isn't do hard with practice. Just pick one as themaster and match the other two to it. Finding stuff that sounds good with 3 or 4 layers is the real art

Microphone inputs. Midi sliders, only use buttons and knobs. Some way to alter the LFO curve, cantbr bothered to read how to do it

Need Recomendations On Powered Speakers/Studio Monitors
tubby replied to Mattye's topic in Amps & Speakers
got a stereo at home you can plug into? use that for practice and purchase PA speakers for the party? monitors won't cut if for a decent sized party but PA speakers generally aren't much good unless you play them loud -
isnt that how all on line dj comps work?

FS in Sydney-Stylish Black Glass Console perfect as DJ stand
tubby replied to eggssell's topic in Buy & Sell - Gear
cdj's would be smaller, so would fit. It is a nice looking table. -
I would assume the budget doens't include the computer, otherwise that's a big chunk out of the dj gear side

For Sale Pioneer DJM-2000 Mixer for $1800USD,Pioneer CDJ-200
tubby replied to greg00's topic in Buy & Sell - Gear
you do realise this is a scam right? it will be posted on this and every other forum about once a week just look at the english, looks like a 4 yearold wrote this -
that tunnel, which was apparently the only way in, might well have been one of the few ways out as well, so no chance to close the festival down safely
-
Serato or the like for sure if you want the feel of vinyl. $2-3 a track instead of 20, pays for itself in no time that's a good budget so you just need to confirm the tt or cdj side 2nd hand technics will be around a thousand, maybe xone 22 for the mixer. Few hundred fir you software and 1-200 for decent headphones
-
Was recipe for disaster, that big crowd with one tunnel for entry most of the festival would have no idea what happened, but sounds macabre with the pounding beat whilt ppl are dying
-
Put me down for 2
-
I think I'll get some pocorn, settle down and see just how far this joke can go
-
festivals have never been eth best place to enjoy music. dodgy sound, dodgy crowds. but they are fun places to hang out with friends and have a good, none too serious time.
-
If you think about the cost of the extra stuff the 800 offers, tete is certainly a bigger margin in it. 700 is a good mixer, sounds good, 4 channels, effects. If that meets you requirementd it is s good mixer
-
Any from mk2 up is fine. Mk1 was not a dj model. Mk2 have a notch at 0. Newer models don't but gave a button to lock 0%. Some have 16% range as well as 8. Mk5s are a lot more than mk2s for a few bells, you'll still see mk2s everywhere cos they last forever budget 800+ for mk2. 1400 + for mk5. Second hand prices.

Vandit has been shit for a while. Armada is homogenizing trance. And with that crap making other artists modify old podcast to remove armada tunes I willcontinue to avoid buying from them

vinyl can sound better, when you have new records, good needles etc. but then they wear, needles wear etc. keep in mind as well that the warmth that people like in vinyl is actually distortion, just distortion that happens to be pleasant to the ear. cd will never hit the same heights of sound as a good vinyl setup, but it is easider to get and keep good sound with cd. -
1000's only show bpm to whole bpm. you can still cheat by moving until the exact step when the bpm moves up, but thats just as much work and beatmatching manually
-
still play vinyl at home, though not buying new slabs of wax. Pick up bundles every now and them when people off load collections tho
