Kodiak Posted October 18, 2013 Share Posted October 18, 2013 Still on the fence with W8. Metro is cumbersome, ugly and far from intuitive. And I am using it on a touch screen PC. Then you have desktop mode which for the most part is the same, easy to use PC environment. The few things I don't like should be addressed with 8.1 hopefully. Gandy Posted October 18, 2013 Author Share Posted October 18, 2013 first impressions of 8.1 and im very happy- improved mail- improved calendar- improved ie user experience (makes it a lot less awkward/cumbersome to access favourites) - swipe up for apps now is nice- improved metro tile organisation- feels a hell of a lot more responsive now- official facebook app is very nice- new store layout makes a lot more sensestill would be nice to have a stable forum app to browse forums, hopefully someone will release one soon or tapatalk will make a windows appthese are just a few things I have noticed on my limited use so far, downloaded it at the start of the day then work got bullshit busy and didn't touch it Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
