Tandrew
My names Tim.Located in BrisbaneI'm 18 years old as of last Thursday. [22/7]I am looking to getting into DJing as a hobby more or less.I know that you guys have heard it a thousand time of people wanting to become a DJ and giving up after a month or so.That's why before I go and spend money on stuff i either don't need, is shit quality or overpriced i thought I would talk to some people that know the industry, know the sites, know the gear and of course no what the fuck there talking about.I do have a full-time job as a First year electricianhope to get to know you guys and learn if this is a hobby i want to get into. Jaz
as cupe said, basicly the more info you give the more u get back, download some free DJ software demo's, they are full versions but only last for 30 days before you can decide to buy, great to see what electronic/mp3 DJing is about, get an idea for free instead of spending $2000 n hating itVirtual DJ: http://www.virtualdj.com/Traktor: http://www.native-instruments.com/#/en/ ... aktor-pro/Mixvibes: http://www.mixvibes.com/serato: http://serato.com/all relatively similar, but with a few differences

Tandrew
ha-ha thanks for the warm welcomes.I will checkout those links, find what i like.My budget I guess is quite small, about $1500 more or less on what I want, but as i said I don't want to waste money on something im not going to like.I am really into dance, trance music, and after my first clubbing experience on the weekend just past, (seeing TommyTrash at the MET i think.?) blew me away and that was when i decided to dig around.I found this site threw Google searching " Aus DJ Forums"And as for power supplies and such, i will help as much as possible. Buck_Choi
do a few searches on youtube on dj'ing, i think in the beginner section of this forums have heaps of youtube videos on teaching and the like, even check out some 10 minute mixes see if you like what they doing, and if you are willing to put in the time to learn. you might even be lucky enough to maybe meet up someone from ADJF and they can give you a firsthand taste of their gear and just a crash course ^.^
