andyman Posted June 27, 2011 Share Posted June 27, 2011 Hi all,I tried formatting the girlfriends computer last night, and fucked it up.Now it wont even start up, or let me boot from the Vista install disc.Can anyone suggest any programs that I can burn to CD, and then boot from to format from there? lloydc Posted June 27, 2011 Share Posted June 27, 2011 I've never installed vista, but why the hell can't you boot from the CD?it works with XP and 7, so i presumed vista to be the same deal.is your boot sequence correct?I would seriously consider getting windows 7 if i were you. Gandy Posted June 27, 2011 Share Posted June 27, 2011 depends if the disc is a "dell restore/recovery disc" or just a normal OEM vista disc, if its the latter no worriesalso, and this should have no way shape or form affected this by formatting, but double check the bios boot order, and make sure your cd drive is before your hdd Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
